A bit overdue but this is about Liverpool and our new and old players, our cool manager, preseasons, transfer windows, new matches, transfer rumours and anything having to do with the Liverbird, the Redmen and the BPL.
Antoine Greizmann is the name on everyone's lips when they think of a young, up and coming forward who's flexible with positioning and makes more chances than expected of someone who is predominantly a striker.
Why is he here on a Liverpool transfer news/breaking news book? Well, think of the OMG!! Klopp Can We Please Have Him?? mini-series as a small rumour chapter on players that do well every day of the Euros or exceptional talents we may all want. Except this makes more sense than some sites.
Today, Greizmann lead France to an inspiring comeback win over Ireland. After conceding a penalty in the second minute of the match with a rather sloppy foul, France were practically shut out of the match. Ireland defended that lead with such a great penalty in style so that whenever France looked ready to draw level, a last ditch tackle or incredible save would keep their clean sheet. The first half ended after 49 minutes, France still down and the stadium quiet.
How could France be down? This was the France that was supposed to lead it's country to European football glory!
Enter Antoine Griezmann, who started the match but is now finally playing in it in this second half. Blow the whistle to start the second half and finally you see this great French talent shine.

Griezmann as he celebrates his second goal, the winner that sent Ireland home.
From that moment on, Griezmann had one mission: to score at least two goals. In all honesty, he should have had a hattrick but two goals was enough for both him and his country. He both headed and slotted home in those forty five or so minutes, darted across the pitch on the wings as he tried to cross in for more and moved around in the middle, which led to one of Ireland's players, Shane Duffy, getting sent off.
He plays much better in a two striker set up, playing very well in shadow forward position which we see Firmino play well in. Why get him if he plays in the same position of one of our best players? We're a very fluid team. He's a very fluid player. If you play Firmino down the middle, you're still going to see him run down the wings or even near Emre Can at times. So, playing Griezmann at striker or the shadow striker position and Firmino alternating between the two positions with him would do good.
To add to the great feeling, he actually likes this club. When we somehow beat Dortmund, he then went to social media, exclaiming "I LOVE FOOTBALL!!!!!" with a bunch of heart emojis. Even before, he posted things about Firmino's goals against Arsenal. Later on in the season, he followed the Europa final, with tweets suggesting that he was for Liverpool, especially with most of his followers responding with tweets that he reportedly does like our beloved team. Until his fellow Frenchman scored on the other side. Can't really remember, that match is destroyed from my memory. He's a very loyal player and passionate player, showing that constantly on and off field. Tell me that you wouldn't want a player that laughs and cries in the same moments you do as this great game and I'll be honestly surprised. And mutter that Grizi does exactly that. Much like Emre Can, Mamadou Sakho, Alberto Moreno, Jordan Henderson, shall I go on?
The only downside, or should I say, thing that may make this transfer never happen is that he has recently signed a new contract keeping he at the club until 2021. Again, I said he's loyal so he wouldn't want to break it and hurt his fans feelings so badly. The club love him and so does he to them. For all the times he may watch the PL, it may just be that, watching the PL. Not scouting for good clubs.
Also his transfer value is over £40M, maybe even £60M. Not sure Klopp would want to show us his love with a sum that great. But who knows? The transfer season is crazy.
