LFC Updates: Team Selection

Cameroon is stupid. Simple as you like it. More simple than the United match, if you will.

But the story so far has been simple to read through. If you understand how crazy some countries can be, that is.

Cameroon is in AFCON but they're messed up right now, something similar to the problems that forced Messi and other Argentina stars to retire from international duties.

Cameroon, acting strangely similar to a broken-hearted ex, has claimed that they have changed and that it would be all cool if Matip came to play for them during Liverpool's most important stretch of matches.

Matip said no and that's when all this hell broke loose.

The Cameroon manager, Hugo Broos, came out with a brief statement earlier this month, 3rd of January, saying, "We have three players who should arrive on Tuesday including Allan Nyom, Joël Matip, and Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting." Schalke's Choupo-Moting actually retired from international football to get rid of the headache of all of the Cameroon team's problems. The other, Allan Nyom, is also taking the same route that Matip has, with West Brom not being able to play him either.

The incompetence comes from Cameroon on this, as it's obvious that those three players never wanted to play with them for their own reasons (that are actually the same problem and Cameroon should get their heads out of their butts and actually fix that problem), so they should have taken them out and dealt with this like grown ups. But they left all three in the team selection (though not officially and Choupo-Moting will not receive any problems though as he retired before things continued).

Now, they are unavaiable for selection as Cameroon has said nothing on the matter and FIFA are slow as usually and have just opened up a case on this. The best thing for Matip to do now, will be to retire from international football until Cameroon fixes themselves or just stay retired. Even then, it may not fix this already put out problem.

If FIFA finds Matip and Nyom in the wrong, they will be unable to play for the entirety of AFCON, even if Cameroon do not get to the final or anywhere near it and more charges could come after that. Hopefully FIFA finds Cameroon to be the crazy ones in this situation as they seem to be the ones acting off.

What ticks me off the most about this is that Matip was still fighting his way to fitness for a majority of this problem, so they had to be crazy to think he could have been any help to him and I'm sure Liverpool had better resources to help him out. This is not racist or stereotypical but clubs usually do have the better of these things than their international counterparts.

Other than that, Clyne had a hip/abdominal injury that took him out of selection against United so it may be that he could come in next match but I think it'd be nicer it TAA got another go at it.

That's it for today! You can talk about how stupid Cameroon is below. If anyone is Cameroonian though, I'd like to here your thoughts on this below!
