Injury Apocalypse: Holiday Sprint

I swear, a well respected person that deals with the sciences of football need to tell those that schedule these matches that there needs to be at least two days between a match. And that's pushing it! We're very lucky that things are like they are now because it could have been bad. Thank goodness for the rest we've got now and that easy fixture Stevie G gave us. As Katie said, thanks Stevie.

Starting with Studge, yesterday's disappointments were summed up when Sturridge went down from a foul that could have easily been called a penalty. Well, if I was the ref. The injury is to his right ankle, with Klopp describing it as a knock. So, this means that he doesn't believe it's that much, but this is Danny we're talking about. To be honest, any Daniel that comes to Liverpool seems to have a problem. We'll just have to wait along as he tries to come back from a mixed start to 2017.

Henderson's injury isn't the same as the one he picked up last year, so you won't have to worry about Jordan not being able to play well for the rest of the season. He will not be able to play in the FA cup match that has been scheduled for the 8th and Hendo picked up the injury on the 31st, showing that the injury may be big enough to make him miss the Southampton match on the 11th.

Milner was taken off due to a calf injury at halftime, with Moreno doing a much better job at left back than what I can remember. It's not very clear if this means that it was a serious injury or just something like a dead leg, but if it's a calf injury, he as a better chance for the FA Cup match than Henderson and Sturridge. Still wouldn't put money on that though.

Other than this, that's it. Coutinho and Matip are still in training, trying to be match fit, so that brings us to Coutinho, Matip, Henderson, Milner and Sturridge.
