Injury Apocalypse: All The Schadenfreude!

I was waiting so long because I thought Emre's scan would be done by now. It's not. C'mon! Let's get it to it and I'll update if we do get word on what's up.

Origi, if you remember, went off with a cramp. That reduced us to ten men for ten minutes or so. But don't worry, we were cruising to an easy 5-0 win at the time so it wasn't too big. So no, Origi isn't out for three months and we're now doomed. No, he didn't get brutally tackled. He just has some cramps because he isn't as sharp as the rest.

Firmino, while on the bench, asked for some ice. I swear, when I heard that I was already thinking he had a groin injury and he'd be out for about a week or something. It was hot that day though, so maybe he's just gotten really used to the Liverpool temperature and the fact that he was gegenpressing the other team got him really sweaty. Nothing to see here, he's all fine.

Now, Can.

I'm seriously worried with the fact that the scan results aren't out yet. Still, Klopp said it isn't much to worry about. So I won't worry. Well, I won't worry as much as I want too. Klopp did say the injury pain lessened when he was on the bench so that's a positive enough sign for us.

No one else has any problems and we're coming back to London with a practically complete squad! Injury list is Ojo, Karius and Gomez.

Speaking of Karius, he hinted on one of his tweets (so that place is good for something . . .) that he would be back soon. We can assume that soon will be around mid September, again, give or take a match. It seems like he did pick up on Emre's tips how to come back from an injury quickly and I'm thinking the United match should be the latest he will be back.

And if you were wondering, put down schadenfreude because our happiness with our injured guys coming back is our rivals' pain. Which then gives us more happiness. Let's bring on the schadenfreude!

Update: Can and Origi are doubts for Saturday's match. There's a possibility that they could play, but most likely ending up on the bench. Again, they could recover well and start, but I doubt it.

Coutinho had tightness in his h*mstring, meaning that he's also a doubt for Saturday. I'm putting this on the players still not being accustomed to playing so vigorously, so we'll have to ride out this stuff out for a while more.

Karius has said that he'll be returning to full training soon, as the wires in his hand will be removed next week. Get ready to see those gloves back!
