What's The News Saying Now?: Transfer Rumours

Klopp's face is all: You think you can take Origi away from me? Sure. Griezmann better come with. Deal off? That's what I thought.

We're here for round two, though they're not really as crazy. Good enough for me 'cause Clyne to Barcelona practically killed me with laughter.

Origi to Atletico Madrid; young Liverpool striker back up to Diego Costa:

This takes the stupid rumour crown for this chapter. One out of ten for me. I mean, this is Origi we're talking about, his talent is obvious. And Costa seems to want to stay at Chelsea (they've got a new manager, why should he leave, Simeone?) so I could see them trying. But they were in for Benteke not too long ago. So I'd rather them go for Benteke, even as an Atleti fan. Again, could see Klopp yelling no and swatting his hand at all buyers, but Diego Simeone is smart enough not to come. But this came from Bleacher Report so they're lucky they got even one from me . . .

Schalke target Markovic as Leroy Sané replacement:

Huh. So those rumours for Lazar leaving did have some weight . . . surprised. Give it a three out of ten because Sané is expected to go to City for £45m and Lazar wouldn't be a bad replacement. Yeah, it'd stink to go from rooting for him but then not because the Smurfs but it be good to get his career back and they'd give us the £20m we got for him in the first place. Reasonable rumour, for once.

Jordan Henderson to leave due to limited play time:

What limited play time is ESPN FC coming up with? He's our CAPTAIN and just came off of a horrible injury season. If we did the same to guys that had a bad injury season, Sturridge would be long gone by now. Klopp really likes Hendo and I don't think Klopp is a fake friendship sort of manager, so zero out of five. He'll play this season and if he doesn't play well then he'll get dropped. Not when he didn't get a fair chance to prove himself.

Joe Allen to Sevilla:

This is almost as bad as him to United. Man, I can still feel the pain. Anyways, zero out of five. Everyone may want our Welsh Xavi but they aren't getting him.

Liverpool want £7m for Luis Alberto; Sevilla interested:

So they take away a cup and are trying to get our midfielders on top of that? Cruel. I give it a 3 out of five though, maybe even a four out of five because Alberto probably escaped your mind all season and you may have even forgotten he was still ours. But he is and I'm not sure Klopp would want him around like he does Lazar and Mario.

Alex Manninger to Liverpool as keeper cover:

According to rumours, he's training with Karius and Bogdan (Mignolet still not back from Euro vacation) and, if things go well, he could be a Liverpool player. One season was enough for both Liverpool players and Klopp (he only got a few showings, that must be awkward) when it came to Bogdan and Klopp seems to be in the mood for veterans so why not? He's 39 and a free transfer, but the only thing stopping things is the higher ups at LFC to give him a pay as you play contract, which still hasn't been given yet.

Liverpool beat out Tottenham for Georginio Wijnaldum:

Reportedly, Spurs balked at the £25m valuation of the midfielder while Klopp just couldn't care less. Or maybe he does and that just hasn't been reported yet. Either way, this rumour is still around and I still give it a three out of five.

Update: Liverpool HAVE accepted the valuation of £25m and medical is reported to happen on Friday. Five out of five, this is going to happen. Now save all the Joe Allen Liverpool pics you can because he seems to be on the way out.

Liverpool want Gary Medel at Anfield:

These rumours sprouted up in Chile, giving it a two out of five for at least having a decent source. Medel will want to have a first team spot, as he's getting into his prime years and we can give him that. But we can't give him consistent first team play, which he will want. So I won't think to much of this rumour until he's in Liverpool.

Jakub Blaszczykowski to Anfield after being "shunned" at Westfalenstadion:

First, yes, I did know how to spell that name. But I prefer to call him Kuba! Anyways, I doubt this rumour in so many ways. So one out of ten, only because him leaving BVB is true, and him sitting on the bench a lot is true. But him coming to Anfield is not. We're in for other, younger midfielders like Wijnaldum and to be honest (this really hurts . . .), Kuba isn't young. He's thirty. Lucas is also around that age so why replace Lucas with a Polish Lucas?

Lucas to Newcastle:

For some reason, we added Lucas to the Wijnaldum deal as a way to not spend a whole ton of money. Okay . . .? But really, he can play as center back and midfielder, I don't know why Klopp would want to let that go. So, two out of five.

Sissoko to move after being relegated:

So good Euro final performance=move to Anfield now? Does this technically mean we're getting Griezmann?? Just kidding . . . anyways I give it a zero out of five. It just seems too doubtful for me.

Brannagan not to be loaned out to Wigan:

Give this a five out of five, as Wigan don't seem to want to give him 75 percent of the games required in the loans Liverpool youths do. If a team doesn't do this, they face a financial penalty, which Wigan wouldn't want, I'm sure. If he ends up not getting loaned out entirely, I expect that it's only early cup games and lower table clubs that he plays against, though Klopp seems to find great ways to get the youths in against even great opposition.

Flanagan considering loan to Burnley:

A loan to a PL side, why not? But, this is the first time he's been 50 miles away from the Merseyside, or anywhere out of the place to be honest, that's a big change for him. No Scouse accents, no Scouse dish, no Scouse music! Well, I'm sure there are restaurants in the Burnley area for that,  but it will be a big change for him, more than just football. Give this a two out of five as we've not been linked to a new left or right back as to cover Moreno and Clyne.

Liverpool accept £13m bid from Stoke:

Three out of five for Joe trying to continuously play on a cold night in Stoke. Pretty sure he won't want to stick in behind all those people so it's for the best that he goes to a place that will keep him in the starting XI and not on the bench. But man did I want us to keep that beard.

On totally unrelated news, Big Sam is reportedly going to be England's manager:

Not going to rate it, because it's not technically Liverpool news, but has to due with our English players and we have a lot of them. Really, it's much better than Hodgson, but that's easy for just about any manager. Maybe he'll help England win something. Or get past more than the group stages and first knock out match.

Again, if there's anything I missed, tell me and I'll put it up to rate and talk about it.
