Aren't you so scared to see his name up there? Me too . . . I just can't believe it.

In the match on Wednesday, Karius hit Lovren in the head. It looked to only hurt Lovren, with him coming out because of the concussion from such a hard punch.

But now we know it hurt Karius too.

It's official, Lovern's head is made of solid rock.

In all honesty, I thought the gloves they wear are supposed to help them not get these kinds of injuries, but Lovern's head seems to have even bested those. Karius will be out for 8 to 10 weeks, due to a broken hand. That means he'll miss the first match of the Premier League. Which means he'll have less of a connection with the team when he comes back. Which means we'll see Mignolet against Arsenal.

Excuse me . . . I need a breather.

I'm not trying to knock Mignolet, seriously, no one do it. You may injure him and then we'll have Manninger. Do not want that. But Karius was looking to hold his own weight. He wasn't conceding the first goal on target or flapping at crosses!

Mignolet is a good back up, but he's not entirely good under pressure. I mean, you only have to remember some of our more horrible performances and remember that at one point, it was up to him get a cross out of the way or save a shot that required a bit more stretching.

Karius has dealt with crosses. He's done some stretching.

Mignolet has mistimed punches and although stretched, not stretching enough.

I guess I'm being a bit biased as Karius' biggest challenge with us was against Chelsea and Mignolet has gone against Sevilla, Dortmund and others this past season. But I'm thinking of his Mainz days and those were good.

Hopefully he can get some tips from Emre on how to get back from an injury quickly.

This now brings our injury total up to: Lucas, Sakho, Gomez, Matip, Clyne (may come back very soon) and possibly Grujic. Geez, we need some prayer . . .
