"(F/N)-chan, we need to talk," Akashi said in a controlling voice. You had only heard this tone used a few times before, and the results were never pretty. In fact, the last time it was used, the receiver of 'The Voice' had to learn Braille. Not for a friend, but for himself.
Immediately, your mind started producing what could be the worst scenarios that could occur. Was he needing you to be better at everything you do? Were you not noticeable enough? Was he going to break up with you?
Your panicking was interrupted by your darling boyfriend. (You made a mental note to call him that as much as possible while it was still true.) "Meet me by the front gates after school ends. You are allowed to watch, but no matter what you do, I want you at the gates once practice has ended," he used the same tone of voice. You lightly flinched in fear.
His eyes softened, but immediately hardened when Akashi realized what had happened. "You may go now," he dismissed indifferently.
Leaving, you realized that you had a couple of hours until you needed to meet Akashi at the school gates. You were very nervous, and needed to do something to distract you. You decided to call Aomine, as you knew that he would be free.
*** timeskip ***
Aomine did nothing to soothe your nerves. He made your qualms worse, and this was proven by how shaky your knees were and your sweaty palms.
Checking the time, you found you had a few minutes until Akashi's practice ended, so you made your way over to the gate. You only had to wait a few minutes for your boyfriend to come from the gym, and you have him a soft smile. He didn't return it.
The walk to his house was terse, and any attempts to make small talk were always shot down. Soon, you realized that you needed to take the hint.
He was breaking up with you.
He was bored, and you met none of his standards.
And now it was time to throw you away.
Oh no, you thought. Anything but that. I always hated the stories about unrequited love...
Akashi led you to his room, but told you to wait inside. When he told you to enter, a soft smile was playing on his lips, and a small brown teddy bear was in his lap.
You were speechless. It seemed so child-like, and so out of Akashi's character, to have a teddy bear. But it seemed to bring him great happiness, and you noticed that Akashi's gloomy and strict aura had disappeared.
"Ne, Sei-chan, who is this that I have the pleasure of meeting?" You held a hand out to shake the bear's hand. Akashi playfully held out the bear's paw for you to shake. You giggled lightly.
"(N/N)-chan, this is Fluffles," and that was all it took to make you start laughing.
If anyone were to randomly look into that room, they'd see a happy couple playing with a teddy bear. Maybe the girl was pregnant, and that was for the child? No, the bear was too well-worn. But either way, it seemed that the girl had become great friends with a bear named Fluffles.
Omake:
"Ne, Sei-chan...we aren't breaking up, are we?" Akashi looked up at you in surprise. Even he couldn't predict that you would say that.
"No. I'd never do that. Why?" He said curiously. He wondered what had made a thought as silly as that enter your mind.
"Well, at school you seemed really tense. And then Aomine didn't really help calm me..." your voice trailed off at the end.
"I'll quadruple his training. He won't be able to see straight once I'm through with him," Akashi growled while heading to his desk to pick up a notepad and pen.
"A-ano, Sei-chan, you aren't his captain anymore,"
"Does it look like I care?"

I've been thinking of writing this for a while, and it turned out decent (depending on your definition of decent).
The writing was off...
