You don't know why your mother decided to sign you up for a reality show. Especially one like The Bachelor.
Actually, that was a lie. The show you were in was a spinoff of it, and it desperately needed contestants for its premiere. Once your mother had caught wind of that, all she could talk about was 'a nice, young boy that you would marry'. No matter how hard you tried to drown her out with your headphones, she always managed to talk just a little bit louder than the maximum volume on your phone.
When you were handed the pamphlet with all of the information regarding the show, you were surprised that 'The Bachelor' wasn't mentioned by name. You had tried to pester you mom into telling you, because she seemed to know who it was. She'd given a few hints, but your mind kept jumping back to the same person, and you weren't sure why.
Kuroko Tetsuya.
Kuroko and you hadn't known each other too well in the beginning of high school. Your seats were together in many classes and whenever there were group projects, the two of you chose to do them together. With that, a slow friendship formed, but that was broken when high school ended and everyone went their separate ways.
This was going to be interesting...

As the camera crew came in their pristine black van, your mother was patting you in the head while wishing you luck.
"...and make sure you eat your peas. I know how much you hate them, but they'll help you grow," she patted your head and you just groaned in response.
"Mom! I'm not short- I'm taller than you!" You patted and fixed your hair back into place and looked out the window before sighing. "Do I have to do this? Or could you at least cancel your parties with my friends? It'll be embarrassing if I know that they're watching the show I'm on. Aomine will never let me live that down."
She just laughed and walked over to the door. Opening it, you saw a camera man with a raised fist that was about to knock on the door. You just looked at your mom with an arched brow. You felt that she was a bit too overzealous.
"Ahh! You must be the camera crew! Take care of my (F/N), and make sure she eats her peas," she pulled you by the arm and shoved you out. You walked over and entered the vehicle.
"Bye! Don't forget to pick up a good looking young man if you lose," she called out as the van drove away. The driver chuckled as you dropped your head onto the inside of the van while groaning at your mom's antics.
"It's not gonna be that bad. Don't worry," the driver reassured you. You never caught his name (not that you cared enough to remember it).

You looked outside the van's window and noticed that it seemed to be slowing down. The driver parked, and chatter started as everyone was rushing around to start filming the show. Sitting there silently, you had no clue what to do. Everyone seemed to have their own role, and you couldn't see any of the other 'contestants'. You adopted the role of praying that no one that you knew was going to watch.
Your prayers were interrupted when an arm clutched yours, and whirled you away. It was difficult to see who's arm it was due to how quickly the person was running, but when the arm's owner stopped, you were shocked to see Riko, the former coach of the Seirin High School Basketball Club.
"R-Riko! What are you doing here?" You sputtered. The gods really hated you, because they ignored your previous prayers. The first person you meet was someone you had already known.
"I'm showing you around, (Y/N)-chan. We've already accounted for the fact that you don't know where anything is located, so I'm going to help you. Follow me," she calmly walked away, and turned back when she didn't see you fall in step with her.
"A-ah, yeah!" You replied, and your hands formed fists from nervousness. "Where are we going?"
"We're going to get your hair done. You remember Hyuuga, right?" She looked at you as if she knew more than you, which she probably did, and you hated it. You didn't even know who 'The Bachelor' was! With your luck, it'd probably be an arrogant idiot with feathers for brains.
An idea sparked in your head. "Hey, Riko, who is 'The Bachelor'?" If she didn't reply to this, you could at least wrestle a little bit of information from her.
Riko took you by surprise when she laughed. "Don't worry! It's someone you know. He's been looking forward to seeing you," she paused for a second before saying, "Anyways, we're here! I'm not too sure what Hyuuga is going to do, but I'm sure it'll be fine,"
Riko ushered you through the door. Looking around, she saw no one was at any of the counters so she yelled, "He is the son of a barber, after all!"
That prompted a head to peek out from behind one of the hair dying stations. "Don't call me that!! Oi! Izuki, come here!" He turned and waited for his pun-loving friend to come and join him.
Izuki popped out from behind the two of you, and when he spoke up again, he nearly made everyone scream. "I'm just dye-ing to dye your hair, (L/N)-chan," He pulled out his notebook and wrote in it before whispering, "Good job, me."
"And here we go again," Riko sighed before walking over and hitting Izuki over the head. You winced from the force of the slap.
"At least tell us where you are, dimwit. Who are you now? Kuroko?" Hyuuga walked over to one of the counters and started to prep some of the items before looking at the time. "Izuki, make up your mind on how we'll do (L/N)-chan's hair. We only have half an hour before he comes to take her,"
"You mean Ku-" Izuki was cutoff when a pair of scissors zipped past him and lodged themselves into a wall full of marks from others pairs of scissors getting stuck. [Akashi much??]
"Shut up! You're not supposed to talk about him," Hyuuga stole a pair of scissors from a different stall. He gestured for you to sit.
As Riko was about to sit and read a magazine, a tinkling noise from above the door caught everyone's attention. If it wasn't for that, the guest's presence probably wouldn't have been noticed.
"Kuroko-kun? What are you doing here?" You exclaimed. The others just looked nervous, and tried to see if this was on the agenda.
You quickly scanned over Kuroko, and found that the time spent away after high school sure did wonders for his body. He seemed to have grown a few inches, and his shoulders had broadened out. He certainly looked more attractive, and if he was as kind as he was in school, he was sure to be a killer with the ladies.
"Good afternoon, (Y/N)-san. I heard that you were here, and I wanted to meet you again. I haven't seen you in a while," he walked over to where you were sitting and caught your gaze in the mirror.
"I haven't seen you in a long time, but why are you here?" You broke eye contact with him and felt a small blush appear on your cheeks. Looking over at Riko, Izuki, and Hyuuga, you found that they had stopped whispering and arguing and we're now watching the two of you. They seemed to be in the edge of their seats, and you would've laughed if you hadn't felt so confused.
Kuroko's face remained passive, but his eyes showed a hint of shock. "Why, I'm 'The Bachelor'. I thought you knew that," he tilted his head to the left out of confusion, and sat down in an unoccupied seat.
Upon registering what he said, you felt your hands become clammy, your heart raced, and you felt excited to win the competition. But poor, oblivious you didn't know why.
Maybe it was love...[maybe it's Maybelline//thrown out of the room]
