You wanted to surprise Aomine. Your 3 year anniversary was coming up, and you wanted to share a great day with your boyfriend. Needing it to be perfect, you racked your brain for any idea of what to do.

And nothing came.

Well, you had a few ideas, but they seemed a bit sub par for the occasion, and you weren't even sure if Aomine would even enjoy it. You knew he was a major fluffball, but he only seemed to show noticeable interest in gravure and basketball (when playing Kagami or the Generation of Miracles).

So you needed help with purchasing a gift and planning the events for the day. Your first thought was Momoi, but she can't really keep her mouth shut, or she would fangirl too much. The next best option would have to be your boyfriend's old captain.

You had known Akashi for many years, and unbeknownst to his old Teiko teammates, the two of you were close friends. He was like an older brother to you. Naturally, this was your best option because he also knows Aomine and would have valuable ideas.

You had called Akashi a few hours ago, and were now waiting to meet him. There had been a few instances that Aomine had gotten a little suspicious, but you knew he wouldn't catch on.

That's why you didn't notice the blue hair in the green bush. At least Midorima would've been camouflaged by the leaves.

***flashback***

You had just finished giving the Tōō basketball members their drinks and towels when your phone abruptly buzzed. A few heads turned, but the most notable ones were belonging to you, Aomine, and Imayoshi. You picked up the phone, smiled and blushed a bit, and then quickly replied. Imayoshi looked at Aomine with raised eyebrows. Aomine just shrugged in reply, causing Imayoshi to facepalm at his lack of knowledge in the relationship department.

Setting your phone down, you notified the others that you would be back- just needing to use the restroom. The others agreed, but Aomine looked a little dazed. Poking his cheek, you asked if he's okay, with him just nodding.

Once ensuring that you're gone, he looks at the buzzing phone to see that Akashi had been texting you. And his name had a heart by it. He didn't want to look through the messages in fear that he wouldn't be able to control himself when he confronted you. So he waited for when he knew the two of you would meet, and he'd follow, just to witness how you could possibly cheat on him.

You had always seemed so kind...

***present day***

Aomine glared when he saw Akashi approach you. It was startling to find out that his girlfriend was cheating on him with his old captain. Aomine always had the idea that (Y/N) loved him, and only him.

Was your teasing not lighthearted? Did you always fake a smile? Was it me that you were always laughing about with your friends? Was it my fault?

Aomine's thoughts were racing, and he almost missed the two of you leave. Good thing Aomine loved you so much, you were a main part of his life and he could never forget you.

You left with Akashi to get a cup of coffee before you went shopping. Upon entering, you were greeted with the fresh smell of brewed coffee.

"Sei-chan, what coffee would you like? I'll pay!" You took out your wallet and looked at the menu with wonder. There were so many options! You were distracted from your reading by Akashi lowering your arm and pulling out his wallet.

"I'll pay. After all, I am a courteous gentleman," he smirked and you pulled his hand down to prevent him from paying while wrestling to get your money out. The barista just stared at you two in shock.
