Akashi writes beautiful poetry and generally keeps them really short yet powerful (like himself). He has a portfolio but he doesn't plan on showing it to anyone but the GoM if they ask.
So when they did see it, they tried writing their own poetry, and here's how it turned out:
Aomine: literally just wadded up his gum in the paper and turned that in
Kise: wrote a dreadful piece about himself
Kuroko: um... he tried
Midorima: too stiff and rigid... there were no feelings in it
Murasakibara: well he did describe the food well
