Tbh Midorima would prob be OOC in this, but I also use masculine pronouns. The ladies won't work for this (soz, if requested I could write something for them) but u could think that Midorima is comfortable with you because you're his childhood friend and you guys are alone...

You bounced in your seat, legs jiggling out of nervous energy. The man driving looked at you and chuckled beneath his breath. "How much coffee did you drink this morning?"

"I didn't drink any!" You leaned forward and poked his cheek. "That just goes to show that you need to tell me, or I'm going to explode."

"Well, looks like you're going to explode soon; I'm not telling you anything."

"You're so cruel," pouting, you crossed your arms and slid down the black leather car seat. Your legs continued to move.

Sun flowed through the windows and illuminated your boyfriend's face, his eyes narrowing out of reflex. Although he'd been outside playing basketball enough to adjust his eyesight, his eyes still crinkled near the outside corner. Reaching forward, you smoothed out out the small wrinkles and placed a small peck in his cheek. A content smile appeared, and despite him driving, you snuggled into his neck and let out a small sigh.

Everything was good.

And then he went over a pothole with no care in the world, and you screeched as you were sent flying. The basketball player's laugh erupted through the silence of the car and you glared at him, hair flying in many directions while you yourself were slumped against the side of the car door. The birds chirped and provided a nice background to your silent plotting of your murder plan for your boyfriend.

"Sorry, sorry," he sighed and started accelerating the car to the speed limit. He'd stopped when you nearly had a panic attack while in midair. What a kind person. (Not really.) The man's eyes flashed to you to ensure that you were okay before focusing on the road. "Don't worry, we'll be arriving shortly."

So now you were back to square one.

"Where are we goiiiiiiiiing?" Your whiting only warned you a short glare from the driver, and you immediately quieted down.

"Here we are." The man parked the car beside a field of grass. A park could be seen in walking distance, but a small meadow of dandelions and grass separated the car and the park. Trees littered the grounds and your boyfriend pointed to a nearby one that created a pavilion of shade. "We'll be sitting over there. Can you get the picnic basket from the trunk?"

Your hands clapped in delight. "We're going to have a picnic?" Squeals soon accompanied your claps.

"We would be if you would get the damn basket."

"Going, going. Geez you're bossy." A glare in his direction didn't stop your boyfriend, apparently.

The trunk creaked open, and soon revealed a wicked basket and a haphazardly folded sheet that was probably due to the shaky road the two of you had embarked on. A white envelope, however, caught your eye. It had 'Open Me' in a familiar script.

The only thing that the paper inside said was 'Turn Around', and when you did, a smirk creeped onto your face.

"Okay, what did I do? Why do you look so smug?" He was kneeling and looked slightly disgusted by the mud he was in, but the slight blush on his cheeks showed that he didn't regret a thing that was happening.

"Oh, it's nothing." The smirk grew wider, into a Cheshire Cat smile. "It's just that I could feel the box earlier, and you're not very good at hiding stuff."

The man frowned before sighing. "SO will you marry me or not?"

"Sure, why not?" The man before you stood up and leaned forward menacingly.

"I want a better answer than that..."

"Ye-"

You never finished, for the lips that were pressed against yours said it all.

Fuck, you were lucky.
