Akashi

An eleven year old Akashi Seijūrō walked up to the stool that bore a tattered hat that made the boy reluctant to put it on; who's grubby hands had been on there was going to be difficult for anyone to understand. As the boy sauntered to the stool, the Headmaster barely had to have the hat above the wizard's head before a cheer from Slytherin followed the hat's yell.

Akashi was relieved- the hat hadn't touched his head (oh, the amount of filth on it nearly gave the boy a heart attack) and his father wouldn't be disappointed.

Slytherin

Aomine

Tumbling forward, the bluenette was pushed out of the crowd and towards the screaming item on the stool. A boy named Akashi Seijūrō had already been decided immediately, and the approval that followed after his house call was something that Aomine wanted with a passion. It was difficult being a 'mudblood', but even worse was that Aomine had no clue how the wizard if world worked.

One of Aomine's clammy hands gripped the edge of the stool, and only a few scrutinizing eyes would notice the flush on the boy's face.

Aomine's heat raced as the hat pondered for a minute before coming to a decision that would change Aomine's life.

Gryffindor

Kagami

A pale blue head of hair was what Kagami decided to focus on as the hat took too long to decide. Calculations echoed through the young wizard's head as the hat recited the traits that Kagami had.

The boy Kagami decided to focus on was either one of the ghosts, or considered strange, for no one spoke or even acknowledged him.

Pale blue eyes met his as the boy looked up out of surprise when the hat finally screamed it's choice.

Gryffindor

Kise

Kise smiled his award-winning grin as the list neared his name. It wasn't weird at all for him; Kise came from a famous line of witches and wizards that were known for their transfiguration a and fast learning of spells. At a young age, Kise had been declared one of the best wizards that the family would ever see.

Murmurs filled the hall as Kise's name rang through the hall. The computing for this year would be one of the most intense, and Kise was looking for something that would gain his attention for more than a few days.

The voices continued as Kise sat on the stool and stared at the occupants of the hall with wonder-filled eyes. Everyone in his family had been Ravenclaws, and despite the house being full of  relatively easy - to the public eye- public, they weren't very tolerant of deviations.

So imagine the fear that covered the young boy's face when he was announced into a house other than Ravenclaw.

Hufflepuff

Kuroko

Kuroko was shocked and panicked when he heard his name being called. As he stumbled to the front his mind raced, and he knew this year would be entertaining and surprising in many new ways. No one ever noticed the young wizard, and it was even weirder for someone to make eye contact with him. Maybe Kuroko could seek the redhead out later and see if it was a fluke of some sort.

The hat was placed and Kuroko scanned the room. He was indifferent to which house he would be placed in; the dangerous people had been distinguished already, and Kuroko knew perfectly to ignore and avoid them.

There was the blind that had just been called up, the redhead in Slytherin, the bluenette in Gryffindor, and a few more that hadn't been called up yet. Kuroko just wanted safety.

And the gleam in his eyes disappeared as he heard the house called from the hat. There was no escaping that pesky blonde.

Hufflepuff

Midorima

A taped left hand reached up and pushed up a pair of spectacles. As the headmaster looked at Midorima expectantly, the young wizard smirked before snorting delicately.

He already knew what was going to happen, and didn't understand why he even needed to be sorted; he was going to be a Ravenclaw. As the headmaster nodded to the greenette, Midorima's tsundere side came out as he blushed a bit at the interaction. The hundreds of eyes focused on him didn't help.

The hat actually was loose enough that it dropped and nearly covered the boy's eyes. Despite being an average height person, it seemed to be a tad bit too odd. The hat didn't do this to the others that had gone before him. Midorima decided to ignore the corners of the hat, and looked at the other boys in his year that showed promise.

Midorima's father had drilled into his son's head millions of times that he needed to befriend people that would be good connections. Every movement Midorima made would effect his future. Maybe, it wouldn't be bad being a Slytherin, for he would get closer to the next Akashi head. Honestly, the next few moments didn't surprise the boy. Even his idiotic maids would've predicted it.

Ravenclaw

Murasakibara

Murasakibara Atsushi was pissed off.

As soon as he'd entered the blasted school, his snacks had been confiscated, and he'd already gathered whispers and rumors about his height. A girl had even screamed that he was a Titan- that was a blow to the ego.

But, upon entering the school, he'd been swept away with how different this was to the real world.

Sure, in the wizarding world, you'd have ghosts and paranormal creatures and potions and work and death. But here, this is exactly what Murasakibara would look back on in the future and regret not enjoying more.

But that last 'memory' wasn't true. Murasakibara was intelligent- street smart and book smart, if you would call it that- but there was so much work put into meeting everyone's expectations, that the boy just started to not bother. Murasakibara would thrive here, whether he realized it or not.

The hat was placed upon his head, and Murasakibara noticed a green-haired boy glaring at either Murasakibara's head or the hat that was a just a smidgen too small for said head.

Either way, more than one person seemed relieved when the hat was removed, and Murasakibara walked in shock to his new house's table.
