You clambored up the ladder. Once on the school's rooftop, you searched for your preverted boyfriend. You had been planning this for a few days, and if someone were to look through your notebooks, they would stumble upon a few dozen pro and con lists, scenarios, and phrases that were all in preparation for what you are about to do.

You hesitantly walked over to the edge of the roof's edge and sat down, all the while pondering over if this was the right thing to do. There were two things you could do:

Either have a long distance relationship, and be a burden on Aomine.

or

Break it off with only him hating you and eventually getting over it.

It had taken a while, and many scrunched up sheets of paper, but you had finally decided to just break it off without telling him that you were moving. This way, he wouldn't know where you were and come running after you, and you would be at peace knowing that he'd move on.

You pulled on your (H/L), (H/C) hair and twirled it around your finger. Looking around, you were surprised that Aomine wasn't there already. This paired with the fact that the rooftop was like his second or third home, you lowkey worried that something had happened. You pulled a loose piece of hair from your school uniform.

Birds suddenly screeched and flew away from trees when your boyfriend opened the door with a bang. He seemed to be slightly out of breath, and he looked around before noticing where you sat and relaxed. This seemed to calm him down and give him the false impression that nothing was going to happen. He sauntered over and was about to sit down by you, when you suddenly took control of the situation and stood up. Aomine's eyes widened, and he took a step back when you started walking away. You had only walked away so that he wouldn't see how conflicted you were about the situation.

"H-Hey, (F/N), what's wrong? Did something happen?" Aomine inquired with a gentle and caring voice. He walked away from where you two were originally sitting- or in his case standing-when he had reached the rooftop. But the next words you said made him stop in his tracks.

"Aomine-san, I brought you here to talk about us," you said. It was said softly, but no matter how much he tried to tune out your words, he perfectly heard them. He hated the fact that you had referred to him in such a professional manner, and couldn't comprehend why. You refused to turn around, no matter how much you just wanted to just run back into his arms and hold him tightly, while never letting go. "I believe we should break up. The situation that the two of us have isn't benefiting either one of us, and is just becoming a hindrance in our lives," You prayed silently that he wouldn't notice your slip up.

When you were about to get emotional, you talk as if every word will be held against you. This causes you to unintentionally phrase your words carefully, while using a wider selection of vocabulary than you usually do. And thankfully, your prayers appeared to have been answered, for he showed no visible signs of acknowledging what had just happened.

You waited a few seconds to see if he had anything he wanted to say. In this time, you subtly checked the time on your watch and realized that you needed to return home soon, or your family would eviscerate you for being late. The flight you and your family were taking to America was in 4 hours and you still needed to drive to the airport.

The only thing Aomine could offer was silence. Walking away, you had opened the door to leave the rooftop (and Aomine's life), when he finally decided to speak up. "Who told you? I'll kill them," His tone was deadly, and something that you'd rarely ever heard in the two years of you dating each other. He muttered the last part, but you were still able to catch it.
