*****

After nearly a year without contact, Himuro finally had decided to contact you. That alone was shocking, but what sent your heart into palpitations was the fact that he had sent you a wedding invitation.

Upon seeing the invite, you had just stood there looking at it in shock. Maybe Himuro would pop out from behind a corner and then say that it was all a joke, and that he recorded it so that you could see the mangled expression your face bore.

It took at least a few minutes for you to realize that this was no joke. A surge of fury coursed through your body when you comprehended that he had given up on you.

Last you'd heard him speak to you was when he was boarding the plane to Japan. You had cried upon seeing him, for it was now seeming so much more real that he was leaving you for an uncertain amount of time. When he had seen you crying, he had ditched his luggage and rushed over to hold you in his arms one last time. Sweet nothings accompanied the sobs that racked your body, but the one phrase that stayed in your mind was "I'll be back, love. And the next time we see each other will be at a wedding."

That had filled you up with hope, but now as you were flopped on your bed, you realized that you finally would see him again at a wedding like he promised. The only catch was that it wasn't your own.

With a shaky breath, you clicked the send button on the email draft, confirming that you would attend the wedding and wishing the lovely couple good luck.

You pushed away from the desk your computer sat on, and spins few times in your spinning office chair. Your hand weaved through your (H/C) tresses, and you sighed. Slowly, the promise you had made to yourself to get over Himuro was being fulfilled.

Now it was time to purchase plane tickets, and you ensured that you booked a promising hotel room. Himuro had said that he'd have a room reserved, but you now knew how much to trust his promises.

Tears splotched and splattered as they hit the keyboard. You were too numb to notice.

Kagami had arrived at the airport, because he knew about the promise Himuto had made to you years before. He understood that you would be in pain, and once he saw the invitation, his mind was set. As he gathered his bags from carousel number 3, he hailed a taxi and prayed that you hadn't moved out from your one person apartment.

You heard the doorbell ring and once it opened, you didn't even have a chance to see who it was before you were pulled into a firm hug. Inhaling, you were able to tell who it was from the musky scent mixed with hastily applied cologne.

"T-Taiga! What are you doing here?" You said while returning the hug. After a few moments you pried yourself away from him and stood to show that he should come in.

He was silent for a few moments before carefully replying, "I heard Tatsuya was getting married, and I came to ask if you'd like to be my date for the wedding."

His face flushed before waving his hands around saying, " I-I mean, that is if you want to go with me. I know that you love Tatsuya, but maybe..." his voice trailed off towards the end.

You giggled and kissed him on the cheek. "Loved. I'm getting over him. The promise he made was when we still had the innocence of kids. I shouldn't hold him to anything,"
