Imprinted

“It seems Kyle has imprinted” he finished.

“what!” hissed Rose hiding Henry from Kyle.

Kyle frowned at me and let out a small growl.

“how could you imprint on MY baby!” she spat.

“Rose, he cant help it” said my mother.

“it’s not fair” she hissed “he’s MINE!”

Kyle let out another growl and my farther translated for us. “he is yours until he’s ready then he’s mine”

Rose let out a screech of rage and lunged for Kyle but Jake and Sammy caught her and pulled her back.

“I’m sorry” said my farther who was still translating.

“Rose….me and Ness both know what its like to have our children well….imprinted on” said my mother walking up to her. I nodded

“I know its not nice but you have even longer with Henry than what we ever had with our babies” I said.

Rose looked at Kyle and then Henry and sighed. She picked up the bundle and walked upstairs gently rocking him.

Kyle watched them go, his eyes still wide with fear and confusion.

“don’t worry about her, she’ll simmer down” said Emmett following Rose up.

When they wear gone their was silence in the house.

“well, this is pretty messed up” said Sammy.

I shot him a look and he shrunk back. I walked up to Kyle and hugged him. “it’s okay baby” I told him.

He looked at me as if he was almost pleading and I sighed sadly.

“Kyle, wear going to communicate with the pack” said Jake coming over. “they need to know, coming?”

Kyle looked at him then up the stairs, his face torn.

Jake smiled and laughed slightly “don’t worry, I under stand” he kissed my cheek before heading out the door.

“SAMMY!”

Sammy got up and scowled “I’m tired!”

“get your butt out hear now” I herd Jake call.

Sammy followed his farther out still grumbling.

The wolfs seemed fine with it in the end. They approved of Kyle and Henry but to be fair, Kyle cant help who he imprinted on, or if that imprint was a human baby boy!

The rest of the family seemed a little more reluctant. My mother, farther, Esme, Carslie and Alice all excepted it but the others didn’t for the time being.

It was midnight and the whole family wear in the living room. Kyle had gone up to Henrys room to sleep by the door as Rose wouldn’t let him go in. Sammy slept on the floor by the fire in human form, exusted after his run with Jake. Jake sat beside me, holding one of my hands while he watched the game on the T.V with Emmett. Alice floated down the stairs with Jasper, a frown on her face.

“when?” asked my farther.

“tomorrow morning” she answered.

“what’s going on, you know, for someone who isn’t a mind reader?” asked Jake.

“Garrett and Jane are coming for a visit, they had herd about Henry” answered my farther.

Rose and Emmett both let out a hiss.

“they want to take us to EJ and the others so we can talk about it…..their not happy” said Alice.

“we knew this would happen” said Carslie.

I nodded “but he cant destroy Henry….Kyle’s Imprinted on him”

“that’s a good point Nessie” said my mother.

“yes” agreed Rose.

“but Kate and Yasmin arnt bound to the law” yawned Sammy waking up. “Neiver are Jane or Garrett”

“over my pile of ashes will they touch him” hissed Rose.

“we’ll have plenty of time to talk about it tomorrow” said Jake yawning.

“he’s right, we cant do anything about it” agreed Carslie.

I laied my head down on Jakes shoulder as he wrapped his arms around me. To the sounds of the heart beats around the room, and the new one upstairs, I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
