I walked around the forest on my own. It had been the first time since the accident (and since Jake had told me he no longer loved me) that I had been out of the Cullen house.

Stepping lightly on the ground I walked over to a small lake that I had found a few years ago when I was small.

 Slipping off my ballet pumps, I dipped my bare feet in the cool water. I sat on a rock and closed my eyes, listening to the world around me

 I felt calm. I was also wondering if uncle Jasper was near by. I giggled softly as small fishes nibbled on my toes.

 Suddenly, a twig snapped behind me. I whipped my head around to see Jason watching me from the trees

 I slowly stood up, not breaking eye contact. I started to walk to him, my bare feet treading carefully in the soil. Before long, I reached him. "Jason?" I asked. He gave me a smile "yes dear Neisse?"

"what are you doing out hear?"

"I was hunting but then I caught your sent and came looking for you... I thought you could use a friend"

I smiled and nodded "thanks"

He smiled back and we sat on the rocks and let our feet dangle in the water.

"have you hurd anything from Jake?" he asked

I sighed "no"

"he'll come around Ness, don't you worry"

I shook my head sadly "he doesn't love me anymore Jason. He told me he doesn't want me anymore."

"hey" he put his finger under my chin and looked at me. "he didn't know what he was saying. He still loves you Renesmee."

I looked into his eyes and felt mine filling up. "please Neisse, don't cry" he whispered, wiping the tears of my cheeks.

 "oh Jason!" I cried putting my head on his chest. He wrapped his cool arms around me and rubbed my back

 "don't worry Ness, it will all turn out to be okay, I know that much."

 He gave me a warm smile and stood up. "lets go back to the house" he suggested "I know Esme was making some of her chocolate chip cookies."

 I whipped the tears from my eyes and got up as well.

"yeah, okay" I smiled. Jason held out his hand for me and I took it. Jason gave me a friendly smile and we ran back to the house, hand in hand.

When we reached the house the sent of Dog filled the house. We stopped just outside the house. Jason let go of my hand and turned to me. "Jakes inside..."

"oh..."

"you should go and see what he wants"

"what about you"

He smiled "ill be okay Nessie...I think ill go and finish up on my hunt"

"oh...okay"

He gave me another warm smile then turned and started to walk away. "wait!"

He stopped and turned to me. I ran to him and lightly kissed him on the lips. I drew back and he smiled at me. "thank you Jason" I whispered.

"for what?" he asked still smiling

"for everything...for being their for me when I needed someone...I love you."

"I love you to Ness...now, go in their and talk to Jake" I nodded.

"I will...see you later" I waved to him as he vanished into the forest. I watched him go until I could see nothing more of him.

Then I turned and walked into the Cullen house and to see Jake.
