I just met her yesterday...and invited her to take her into the fast food restaurant that I once worked...and yet...she still sleeps in a bench under the tree...wearing the same school uniform...her glasses are beside her...and now...she sleeps with her sneakers on. Alright, time to end this awkwardness...I tried to shake her to wake her up...but...
"Mou! Can you give more time? I just want to finish this...beautiful dream..."
Ooh boy...she's getting lazy again...time to kick it up a notch...
"AAALIIICE!!!"
"EEEEK!!! DON'T HURT ME! DON'T HURT ME! PLEASE DON'T HURT...ME..." Alice quickly awakens and panicked for a few moments until she noticed me and stared angrily at me. "Alex!!! Hmph!!!"
"Hey! It's not my fault!" I refuted back at her. "I exactly told you to wait for me here...not to sleep in the bench!
"Well, excuse me for being lazy! Hmph!"
We turned our faces away from each other in a fit of rage...blaming each other for this...ugh...unfortunate encounter. Oh, wait! What in the world I just did? Why am I arguing with a beautiful little lady that I befriended just yesterday? I am supposed to take her out in a restaurant and I am screwing it up?! Dang!
"Alright...fine! I'm sorry, okay?" I make a deep sigh as I walked closer to Alice...takes her glasses and offer it to her. "I'm just not used with your...umm...behavior. Sorry for the outburst..."
"My behavior, huh? Well...why you didn't say so?" Alice's anger quickly melted and smiled at me. "You should know that I am ready to change my habits just for my friends like you."
Alice stood up and guided me into her house, where a car is waiting for us...well, she learns how to drive it, after all.
"Where are you going now, Alex?" Alice then asked me. "I mean, do you know where is the restaurant you are talking about?"
"Yep. I absolutely know it." I thumbed up her. "Don't worry, I show you the directions, okay?"
Well...actually...the fast food restaurant that I want to show her...is not easy to find as it seems. We need to divert from the main highway, turn into several narrow roads and pass into minutes of long...boring traffic before we reached our destination.
"Here we are, we have arrived." We have parked the car in front of the restaurant with a sigh of relief. "Come on, Alice! Let's go!"
But as I go down of her car, I saw Alice...not taking off her seatbelt...nor opening the driver's door...
"Umm...Alice, I thought you are willing to eat in a fast food restaurant?" I asked her as she lowers the window of the door but she didn't respond...and her face was even blushed...sigh...I just remember what she had said yesterday before I go home.
...sigh...if that's what she said...I should do it. I will just open the driver's door...pull her arm...and drag her into the restaurant...
"WHAT THE? WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?! LET ME GO!!!" Alice shouted at me as her stubbornness makes her difficult to pull her in. "I DON'T WANT TO EAT SOME DIRTY AND DISGUSTING FOOD! I DON'T WANT TO DIE!!!"
"Sheesh! What are talking about? It's not that bad!" I refuted her as I use everything that I got to force her to enter the restaurant. "Come on, Alice! It's for your own good."
"NOOOO!!!!!"
I slammed my body to the door so it can open...I expect that pulling my hesitant friend in...will be an embarrasing scene in the restaurant, since this place is popular for the past few years...but when I come in, I didn't expect...only a few people eating here in a supposed peak hours...
"Oh! Hello, my favorite patron! Welcome to Chixie Burger! Home of the most delicious foods in to-woah!" The lady's introduction to the establishment when she noticed me. "Alex?! Is that you?!"
"Yes, Danica. Yes, I am. Hehehe!" I smiled at Danica as I take Alice into a table. "So, how's the business going?"
"Pretty neat." Danica winked at me. "But I'm astonished, you already moved on after being retrenched by the manager yesterday!"
"Well, that's because I was cheered up by someone I unexpectedly met." Then I introduced Alice to her. "And now, I'm taking that someone to her first experience with fast food. Her name is Alice Flonne Molina."
"Umm...hello...nice to meet you..." Alice shyly greeted Danica and shook her hand.
"Hehehe! Don't be afraid, Alice! In fact, we will help you experience the delicious taste of fast food! So tell me, what's your order today, Alex?"
"I would like two orders of your crispiest and juciest chicken meals, your one of the kind double cheeseburger with extra mustard, catsup and pickles, and your secret recipe flavoured fries. And for the drinks...umm...just pineapple juice, okay?"
"Got it, Alex! Good thing that we have just received a shipment of the best quality ingredients for the meals you ordered." Danica told me. "Your meal will be served in just a few moments. I'm sure that your friend Alice will enjoy our famous meals."
As Danica goes to the kitchen to cook our meals with the other frycooks, I notice Alice uneasy about the unchartered territory she is about to enter...so I tried to pat her shoulder and smiled. With my motivation to continue on with her first experience with fast food, she smiled back at me...
"Alright, I need to do this! Time to savour the tastes of life!"
