Recipe 13: Mass

Roadtrip Day 1
Location: Barasoain Church, Malolos, Bulacan

Alice Flonne's POV:

"Guys, we have arrived!" Alice proclaims as she puts up the parking brake and the turns off the engine. "Let's start rolling!"

"Wait...why are we selling here in front of the church?" Alex wonders and asked me.

"Well, duh? When people goes out after a Mass, they will usually find something to eat...and the best place to eat is just near the church." I explain to him. "In fact, my mother once told me that people in this place always finds a unique food to dig in. Now is our chance!"

"Alex...don't underestimate Alice, okay?" My friend Claire added. "She knows everything about culinary taste of the people around here. Just trust her...she knows what she is doing."

"Hehehe! Sorry! My bad!"

The church bell then rang...the mass has just concluded...and I expect people will come out waiting for food...it's time to jumpstart my stuff!

I have already cooked my signature giniling back at home...but I know that that would not enough to satisfy a customer here...not to mention that Alex's fast food is still my formidable opponent...

Oh wait...I remember...I'm marinated some beef in the refrigerator...I marinated it overnight with vinegar, soy sauce, calamansi juice, crushed garlic, black pepper and bay leaf.

I took the marinated beef out of the refrigerator...let it cool for a while...before I open the stove...put on the frying pan...and finally cook the beef.

"Come one! Come all! If you want to fill your stomachs with delicious food, please come to our food truck "Food Is Love!" For eating our food...you can experience love! Hehehe!"

Thanks to Danica and Claire's advertisement, people who just left the church are started to line up in front of our food truck, just in time to put my new recipe mechado into our menu.

"Hello! Welcome to 'Food Is Love!' What can I do for you?" Danica attended our customer.

"Well...I would like to order your delicious burgers, please?" The boy customer replied. "I'm so hungry right now...."

"Oh! Don't worry! Making hamburgers are just as fast as...umm...I forgot! Hehehe! My bad!" Danica scratched her head in embarrassment. "Anyway, you will get your burgers in no time. Just wait up, okay?"

As usual, Alex's burgers makes an early lead on our business...Alex quickly gets the patties in the grill. He has already has sliced vegetables with him...he even brought a condiment dispenser. Hmm...Alex is very serious in beating me, huh?

"Alice! You have a order of your giniling and menudo!" Quickly, Danica...informed me about the order of a customer.

"Yes! Coming right up!"
