Recipe 85: Meet-ups

Road Trip Day 36
Location: Bacolod City

Claire's POV:

"OH MY GOSH! OH MY GOSH, GUYS! HERE THEY ARE!!!"

My face blushed too much when Alice saw the person I wanted to meet today...it was Frederico Palompon...Alice's only other known food critic. Why, Claire?! Why did you tell your secret to everybody?!?! Now, I'm so embarrassed!!!

"Hello, Alice." Frederico greeted my best friend. "Are you ready to hear my comments on your cooking? Hehehe!"

"Oh, yeah! Sure! But taste my fiance's cooking too, okay? Hehehe!" Alice replies and giggles. "But for now, I wanna introduce you to somebody that wanted to meet you."

Alice looks at me to tell Frederico who she is talking about. I just shook my face in embarrassment.

"Hello there..." Then Frederico approaches me.

"Eeek!!!" At first, I was startled by his greeting but...I recomposed myself and smiled at him. "I-I me-mean...hello. Nice to meet you."

"Yes, nice to meet you." Frederico smiled back at me. "Don't worry, I won't bite. Hehehe!"

Frederico offers his hand and takes me to the tables that was prepared by Alex and Alice for us.

Danica's POV:

I can't stop myself from looking at his face...

"Thank you, Dr. Gutierrez for stopping by." Alice greets that doctor. "Also...thanks for helping out with my older brother's surgery. I really appreciate it."

"No problem, milady." Dr. Gutierrez replies. "In fact, I've heard from your little friend Claire that you're already engaged with Alex. Hehehe! I remembered the time I've met the two of you...you're such lovebirds."

"Oh...ehehehe...please stop, you're embarrassing me in front of Lexi." Alice giggles at him while her face blushes. "Anyway, somebody wants to see you today..."

Alice signaled me to approach the doctor...much to my internal flirtness...hehehe!!!

"Oh...hehehe...hi, doctor! Nice to meet you again! Hehehe!" I shake his hand.

"Yes, nice to meet you too. I fairly remember you to have a wonderful and sweet voice back then in Baguio."

"Tee hee, why thank you." I quickly replied with a smile and a blushing face. "How about we continue our conversation on the table."

"Oh, yes. Certainly."

Claire's POV:

Just as before other customers flock to our food truck, Alice and Alex bring us their dishes for the day...

"Here's your food. Hope you like it! Hehehe!" The couple puts their dishes to our table and tells us in unison.

We put our spoons and forks ready...as we begin to dig in into the dishes...

"Mmm!!! Tasty!" Frederico quickly reacts after taking a bite. "I b know that Alice has making such scrumptious dishes like this!"

"Ha! That's because you underestimated her the last time! Hehehe!" I punned the chef and giggled. "Now you know that my Alice is the best for me."

"Hehehe! My bad!" Frederico scratches his head in embarrassment. "Well then, what makes you think to like me?"

"Waaah!!!" His question left me stuttered and blushing! "Umm...well...I like you because...aah...you're...cute and handsome?"

"Hmm? Why are you asking if I'm cute and handsome?" Frederico looks confused on my...umm...disorganized statement. "If you really think that I'm cute and handsome, well...I appreciate it. I mean with all the work that I have done for so long, no one has ever called me like that. Thank you, milady."

And quickly, my insecurity turns into a smile...finally, I befriended somebody...kyaaa!!! I did it! I finally revealed my feelings to him! One day...one day! I will become his girlfriend!

Danica's POV:

As we sit in the table that is allotted by Alice and Alex for us, the couple offered us their most preferred dishes: Alice's beef pares and Alex's cheesy lasagna.

"So...why do you call me here?" Dr. Gutierrez simply asked me to start the conversation. "Oh wait...let me rephrase that...what makes you convince Alice to call me?"

"Well...I didn't have much time to know you better. I know that you have a girlfriend but...ugh...I can't stop myself from being fanatic with you. Umm...I-I'm not gonna interfere though, promise!"

"Hehehe! No worries, I'm glad that I have new acquaintances just like you. I appreciate it."

"Hehehe! Your welcome!"

"By the way, I'm curious about your little friend Alice." Dr. Gutierrez then asked me. "She's really in love with Alex right now, doesn't she?"

"Of course! Hehehe!" I boasted their relationship and giggles. "Alex is so kind to her that he helped her reunite with her family in Malaybalay. But of course, it was Ales who wants to marry her some days ago...Alice is so moved into tears at that moment and quickly, she accepted his proposal. I wonder though if they have already start planning for their wedding."

"Well...you should let them plan. Don't worry about them." Dr. Gutierrez reacts as he glances at Alice and Alex...working together. "They really know what they are doing right now. Just give them some time. Who knows...they might give you something that could never imagine."

"Hehehe! Sounds good enough. I already know that that couple always packs something...a surprise for each and everyone of us...and it always bring us good vibes. That's the very reason why we always admire Alex and Alice. I never regret to join them in the food trip."

Our conversation continues on and on for minutes...ranging from my unforgettable experiences in the food trip...up to my advices to him when it comes to his relationship with his girlfriend.

Alice Flonne's POV:

Lexi and I smiles as we glance to the conversations between my friends and the handsome customers that I have invited to talk with them.

"Well...that makes them busy." I tell to Lexi and Azmina. "That's their dream being realized."

"Hehehe! That's so nice of you, Alice." Azmina reacts and giggles. "So...what should we gonna do next?"

"Well...the thing that should be done a very long time ago." Then I looked at my cooking rival...and fiancé...my beloved Lexi, and grinned at him. "Are you ready, Lexi?"

"I'm always am, Flonne. Let's start."

The stove was opened...the grill is being heated up...we are finally ready...for our final showdown.
