Sam's POV.

The last thing I remember was falling in the water with Yihyun. I panicked since I don’t know how to swim. I never learned since water made me scared so I couldn’t learn how to.

Me and Yihyun were still struggling on the way down but stopped when I hit the water. I tried really hard to go up to the surface but Yihyun kicked me in the face as she tried to swim up, making me go deeper. I had stopped thinking about everything and only thought about one thing.

Kai. Save me, idiot.

After a few minutes went by, I started to breath in water. Memories and pictures from my past started to pop up in my mind before I went into a black hole and blacked out.

Kai’s POV.

She can’t swim, I thought.

I could feel the hair on my arms rise. “She can't swim!" I shouted out loud. I started to panic. I was about to jump in the water and save her.

But Myungsoo already did.

That didn’t stop me though. I dived in too and that’s when I saw her lying in the bottom of the pool. Her eyes were closed and her hair was floating everywhere. Myungsoo was already next to her. In that moment, I really wished I jumped in earlier. I took one side of her arm and held her by the waist while he did the same on the other side. We swam back to the surface and were greeted by a crowd that helped us getting her up. They all looked worried and were all silent. We carefully laid her down on the floor. I was panting really hard while looking at her. She looked pale and had a black eye. She was unconscious so Myungsoo checked if she was breathing.

“She’s not breathing.”

“Check if she has a pulse!” I screamed to him. If you die Sam, I’ll drag you back from hell.

“No,” he said. He looked stressed. Me on the other hand looked furious. “Do you know how to do CPR?” he said, worried.

“Yes. Move!” I said confidently. But a few seconds later, I became a little nervous. I’ve only done CPR on a doll in school. Now I had to do it on a person, and not just any person. It’s Sam. I calmed myself down before looking at her. Her lips were purple now, matching her black eye. She looked really sick which made me panic even more.

“Hurry!” Myungsoo shouted to me.

I ripped her cardigan off. Luckily she was wearing something underneath. I started to do CPR by compressing her rib cage while counting.

Then, I had to blow air into her mouth. I became even more nervous since that meant I had to touch her lips with mine. But, I had to focus now. Her life was on stake. I tilted her head backwards as I pinched her nose.

And then I sealed her mouth with mine.

I repeated this two times but she wouldn’t wake up. Come on now, breath Sam. I started to feel as if I was doing it wrong. After the fourth round she started coughing and water started pouring out of her mouth. I sighed in relief as I patted her back. Even though I was the closest one to her, her eyes went for Myungsoo. She sat up and hugged him when he approached her. The sight broke my heart as I felt ignored. That’s when I decided to be a pain in the ass to her again.

“Pay me,” I said in a rude tone on purpose and held out my hand to her. She was still coughing.

“For what?” she said. She looked so weak. I wasn’t used to it. She was rubbing her head while furrowing her eyebrows. It looked like she was in a lot of pain. She flinched when she touched her black eye.
