After standing in the dim light for almost a good five minutes I broke the hug since my back was kind of hurting from arching it slightly. Kai was reluctant at first but he let go when I pried his hands off, making a groan erupt from the back of his throat.

Without saying anything he fished up his key and the atmosphere inside suddenly turned sullen again probably because I knew that once I got out of here I would go straight back to normal. I would go home while the other side of me that hasn't forgiven Kai would take over while trying to persuade myself to not trust him again and to forget about him.

Once the fresh air from the laundry room went up my nostrils, the aura around Kai suddenly changed. I still hated him for what he did and I tried to stay mad but with the dazing stare he gave me after I stepped out made it impossible. Perhaps it was the strong white lighting that made him look flawless, making my insides flutter in joy and ecstasy.

I stared back, still not really comprehending what had happened in there. It felt surreal and unreal so I questioned myself whether it was a dream. I pinched a bit of skin on my forearm just in case while feeling the stinging pain on that small area, indicating it was the harsh reality that I had to face now.

Without saying anything, I turned around and aimed for the door when my body suddenly bolted to a halt after Kai encircled his slender fingers around my small wrist. He tugged on my arm making me turn around to face him and crash into him.

That action made me remember the day a boy broke my heart for the first time. The grip on my wrist felt too familiar which made me remember when he tried to make me stop running while it rained outside in the middle of the dark knight.

I stared at him in horror while my body stiffened up in response. He noticed it and quickly loosened his grip before latching his eyes on me, making me soften up. His eyes calmed me down; perharps it was because they looked sincere or perhaps it was him. Either way he succeeded.

He suddenly hugged me again which caught me off guard so my eyebrows arched upwards. I felt him take a deep breath close to my ear before he spoke.

"One week," he said. "Stay with me another week before you go."

"What?" I replied confused while still in his arms.

His arms left my waist before he placed his hand on my shoulders in a tight grip. He bent down to the same eye level as me to show how serious he was, "All I need is one week to make you start trusting me again."

I feigned tiredness; "I don't give second chances, Kai," I said while a smile was threatening to appear on my face. I was struggling with myself to stay neutral because I was happy he wanted to gain my trust back and spend more time with me.

"I know but it's me we're talking about," he said in an arrogant matter unsconsciously. I knew he wasn't trying to sound like a dick because he wasn't smirking and that glint in his eye he usually have when he's being a tease wasn't there either. Maybe it's just normal for him to act all high and mighty.

I looked at him with uncertainty in my eyes while biting the inside of my lips. Kai watched me consider it and to make everything much harder for me, he dropped his hands from my shoulders and grabbed my hands, entwining both of them together with mine.

Both of my hands laced into his felt perfect and he rubbed small circles on my knuckles while waiting patiently for an answer. Small sparks of electricity jolted from my fingertips from his touch.

Honestly, he already had me when he asked the question. But I wanted to see to what extent he would go to make me stay one week more. Another week wouldn't do much harm since it was still summer vacation for a little while longer.
