Kai’s POV.

I stressed her on purpose while she was running around the in room looking for socks to wear. My plan on making her participate worked. I just had to lie a tiny bit about not having homework and such. Of course she is going to have shit loads of tests and homework later, but she doesn’t have to know that. Yet. I actually woke up a lot earlier to prepare myself and then wake her up later so we will be late. My plan is running on smoothly at the moment.

“Hurry up, idiot. We are going to be late,” I said, waiting for her on next to the stairs. I was holding my backpack and sat on the sofa in the hallway. She was taking a long time.

“Alright alright!” she said from the toilet. I was tapping my fingers on the table when her phone suddenly started vibrating. I glanced at it and thought about answering it. No, I shouldn’t even touch it. I was biting my fingers and hesitating before I took it and looked at the caller ID.

I furrowed my eyebrows. Myungsoo? What the- I didn’t answer and put it back. It stopped ringing but it rang again. What a loser. A brilliant idea suddenly popped up in my mind so I answered.

“Hey, where are you? The bus is about to leave!” Myungsoo said on the other line. I smirked.

“This is Sam’s phone, please leave a message after the tone. BEEP!” I tried to hold my laughter in so I ended up looking like an idiot. The maids were looking at me so I gave them a cold stare which made them go away. I noticed that there was this long silence on the other line.

“I know it’s you, Jongin.” Myungsoo said. No shit.

“What do you want?”

“I want Sam.”

“What did you say?”

“I want to speak to Sam, it’s her phone, why are you answering it?”

“Your message has reached it's maximum limit.” I said in a monotone and hung up. I quickly threw back the phone on it's original place before she would notice.  She would kill me if she knew what I did.

Sam came out right on time to catch the next bus. She was wearing a black hoodie and a pair of dark blue skinny jeans that she pulled down so it looked like baggy jeans. Her hair was in a big bun on top of her head and she wore her nerd glasses because she probably didn’t have time to put on her contacts. She was putting on her mint blue sneakers fumblingly while trying to walk. She looked exactly like my ideal type, a girl who looks pretty even though she’s not putting any effort on it. I turned around before smiling so she wouldn’t notice.

“Wait, can I put some of my things in your backpack? Mine is full,” she said. I threw my green backpack to her and walked down to the front door. She quickly ran after me while shoving in a plastic bag in it. She threw it back to me after a few seconds. I noticed she was staring at me while having trouble putting on her backpack. I stared back but she looked away as usual.

Sam's POV.

Did Kai become more handsome or is it just me?

I was putting on my purple backpack when my eyes suddenly got locked on him. He was wearing a black Nike varsity jacket with white arm sleeves and loose skinny jeans. He was putting on a big knitted beanie with colorful patterns that was covering his whole head. It looked cute on him. What hell am I thinking of?

He noticed that I was looking at him so I looked away and pretended to fix my clothes.

Me and Kai were standing on the bus stop waiting for the next bus to come.
It surprised me that he even took the local bus with me since he’s so dependable on his chauffeur. It was quiet as usual between the two of us but it was not as awkward as before.
