We live in an overgrown jungle
A titanic society of enormity
But would a bigger world be better?
Should humanity really grow?
Through the power of growth
Will this jungle be honed?

Like any plant, humanity has grown
And spread its roots far and wide
Some places beautiful and tranquil
Others where it should have never strayed
The plant blossoms beautiful fruits
And also rotten, despicable ones

Its size is what many speculate
Could be its undoing
As we fantasize about a world
With less bumbling humans
But is it a possibility
That we really do need more people?

With more people comes more business
And more business makes a better economy
New people make new innovations
And advancements make the world happier
New people will help fix holes
Gaps of age and gender in many countries

So do we let
This plant grow and grow?
Continue what it is doing
And pray the growth is positive?
The plant is corrupted and in poor health
But perhaps it will simply fix itself
