Imprisonment of the Press

Freedom of the press
Freedom to say what you want to say
When it comes to the media, is it truly freedom?
That nest of snakes is saying whatever
Will bring the most money to feast on
Corruption is thick and musky
But in its own way, irreversible
For we wish the media were free and unbiased
When they are just a bunch of blatantly believable liars

Because you see
The rich and powerful piss on us
The media tells us it's raining
With a flick of their fingers they are in control
Of whom the masses are complaining
These snakes have more power
Than any in the world
So, when they a bribed and controlled
A putrid corruption unfurls

We cannot silence them, and risk greater corruption
The best we can do is stare into the slippery eyes
Take what the reporter is telling you
For what is likely some type of lie
Is this really what we have come to, and we boast of freedom?
Freedom of the media we do not believe in?
No, I call for imprisonment of the press
They deserve to be in chains for the lies they tell us
