She thought herself a blemish in the landscape;

A lost cause amongst beauty and extravagance

How could she ever soar alongside the flying lights?

Was she condemned to exist as pointless blight?

For in a night sky full of forgone belligerence

Was there any point in putting up a fight?

Pieces refuse to fall into place, I know

It shifts and schisms, we lose our glow

And we sit here, in a lonely home

With the shallow lights finally flickering off;

You are alone

Or so you think, as you refuse to spread your wings

Come, songbird

You are not a blemish on our faces

With a charm ever unique

You spread smiles, not sadness

You think yourself weak and wallow quite often

Look up, songbird

See the stars you have forgotten

Whenever you feel weak

When the ground caves in beneath

And you think of yourself as a blemish, once more

Remember that your stars are shining

These people who will always care for you

Look up, up to the sky

Whenever you struggle

Wherever you hurt

Look up from the blue

These stars, these people

Will always be there

Shining alongside you.

Happy birthday, Tahdeh~ ^o^
