Introversion

Looking at your feet
Watching the earth go by
Secluding from the bustle
Living in your mind

They look at you, concerned
And scorn you for your strangeness
Lose interest, return to their group
Blissfully alone?

Solitude can be air you breathe
But deep within, you are outgoing
Deep within, you are all-knowing
You are an artist, quiet but loud

Introversion defines you
But if you continue to stare at the ground
When will you ever see the sky
Things look so different when you just... look around

When someone sits in the sea
They are surrounded by their own mind
Cool yet suffocating, and mentally painful
A recipe for insatiable desire

Yes, I am an introvert
No, I am not lost in antisocial tendencies
I may be smart, I may be dreamy
But I am just as lost with reality
