War of Attrition: A Rotten Tree

Religion, religion, a grand and impressive tree
But is its rotten branches poisoning humanity?

Deny it as much as you want, but faith is a competition
One built upon a brawl between conflicting religions
While so many exercise the importance of world peace
Behind the scenes they are competing for your belief
The grant waist of the tree is powerful and grand
But the branches sprouted weigh it down like soggy sands
So many that we can no longer understand this assault
Is the branch of peaceful preachers or a bloody cult?
Religions are businesses, and aim to stop people from being secure
For with happiness and security, religion's influence will lower

But what is corruption and evil, but my own point of view?
The rottenest branches must be held on with some glue
The glue of people who believe and devote their life
They are peaceful believes preventing this war's strife
And therein lies the crux of the trees' beauty
Each new branch sprouted offers a new reality
Whether it is black or white, there is overflowing diversity
Your options for a path have never been so immersing
If all these branches work together
Surely the world will be better off than ever?

The grand old tree has sprouted nigh infinite branches as of now
But do we embrace them, or finally cut it down?

Thanks for reading, I was pretty happy about this one. But usually when that happens, it ends up being crap. Oh well :/ what'd you think, person?
