I stood by the sink, helping Grandma to clean up from afternoon tea.
School was an easier day today, with my classes being Art and English because it's Tuesday and that's how my timetable was set.
Today I didn't even need to nap on the way home!
The loud banging of the back door made both Grandma and I flinch.
Who in the heck would-?
I strained forward to look out the kitchen window.
From here I should be able to-
Aha!
I frowned.
Why the hell did Blayze slam my Grandparents' door?
He knows that's rude!
"What the hell's eating at him?"
I asked, turning to Grandma.
She's been here all day, as has Blayze I'm pretty sure, so she might know.
"Who Dear?"
Grandma asked, bending to set a platter into the plates cupboard.
"Blayze. He's the doofus who just slammed the door."
I explained, holding the sopping dishcloth in my left hand and a few drops of water dripped off my right hand which was hanging at my side.
"No idea Darling, you'd have to ask him."
Grandma told me, straightening and closing the cupboard door.
"It does surprise me he'd take his frustrations out on slamming our doors though."
She mused with a concerned frown.
Yeah.
Me too.
He's normally got a lot more respect than that.
I sighed, turning back to the sink to finish up with the last few dishes.
I guess our 'happy time' isn't going to last then...
"I'll finish up here and then go find out what's going on."
Surely he'd tell me right?
"You can go now if you like."
Grandma offered, coming up to my side to grab a bowl from the drying rack, ready to dry it off with her tea towel.
I shook my head, running the dish cloth over the face of a dinner plate.
"Finishing up here will only take a few minutes. It will give him a chance to cool off."
And maybe then I'll make it out alive.
"Your call."
The tone in Grandma's voice led me to believe that she didn't quiet agree with my 'call' though.

I trudged across the muddy farm yard, toward the looming row of corrugated iron sheds.
The tack shed door was part way open, as was the machinery shed door.
Hmmm...
Where to check first?
The tack shed was marginally closer to me, so I veered that way first to check for Blayze there.
Poking my head into the shed, I found that the interior was lit by the half a dozen or so fluorescent lights that were strung up along the roof.
Glancing around the room, I couldn't see a single person.
Movement caught my attention out of the corner of my eye and I turned my head to catch Lewey curling up on a horse rug that was haphazardly dropped onto the cement floor.
Somebody's gonna crack the shits over the rug being left lying about...
Blayze is going to have to wait another couple of minutes.
Breathing a sigh, I walked into the shed.
"Off Lew."
I ordered.
He looked up at me and his light brown eyes completely gave away his thoughts, 'awe man, busted already!'.
The Kelpie crawled off the waterproof horse rug, his head lowered and his red-brown tail between his legs.
"I'm not mad at ya goofball."
I couldn't help but smile as I leaned down to rumple his pointy ears.
"You know Grandpa, Uncle Lukas or Blayze will crack it if they come along and find a rug left on the floor."
Lewey wagged his tail at me at half mast.
I turned to the lightly dirtied horse blanket and scooped its mass up off the floor.
"Stupid things are unnecessarily heavy."
I grumbled as I ambled my way over to the pole that hung horizontally off the side wall, designed for hanging rugs before they were boxed up again.
It didn't take too much effort for me to arrange the synthetic blanket on the metal rail, folded in half, alongside another that was already hung up.
"Now, I gotta find Blayze."
I told Lewey, turning on my boot heel and heading for the door.
This should be fun...
