"Hey."
I struggled to force my eyes open.
They felt like they were glued shut.
"C'mon."
Blayze urged.
I groaned.
"We gotta get movin'."
Moving?
I'm pretty sure it's still the middle of the night!
"I wanna sleep!"
I groaned, pulling the blanket over my head.
"You can sleep in the Ute, Babe."
Ute?
Oh yeah!
I tossed the blanket back.
We are going to Deni!
"Awake now?"
Amusement laced Blayze's voice, even in the complete darkness of our bedroom.
"Yes."
I whispered.
"C'mon."
I felt the mattress shift as Blayze clearly moved to climb out of bed.
Hang on a damn minute!
"Hey!"
I protested, frowning even though I was quite positive he couldn't see me due to the darkness that surrounded us.
"What? We gotta get movin' Bails. Keegan and co are meetin' us at the gates by three."
I know this.
These details had been mentioned over and over again in the last few days.
"Where's my kiss?"
I insisted.
I swear I could hear Blayze roll his eyes as he crawled across the mattress to where I was sitting.
I giggled as his hands brushed my chin and then my cheeks.
Finally the shadowed version of his face moved towards mine and his lips brushed against my eagerly awaiting ones.
Mmmm...
I lifted my arms to wrap them around his shoulders, letting gravity do its thing and sinking back into the mattress and the pillows.
Blayze groaned, using his hands to push himself away from me.
"Bails we have to get moving."
He insisted.
I knew we did.
But I can't help that my hormones find him so irresistible!
I'm only human!
I reached over to turn my bedside table lamp on and heard Blayze open the drawers at the other side of the room.
While I climbed my way out of bed he swapped out his plaid pyjama bottoms for a pair of jeans and found a t-shirt and jumper to pull on over his naked torso.
I'd arranged my clothes the night before and they were currently hanging over the end rail of the bed.
My new maternity jeans, a bra, a long sleeved t-shirt top, a hoody jumper and out near the front door I had a thicker jacket waiting.
Sitting at the end of the bed were a pair of socks and my cowgirl boots that had the fluffy lining of ugg boot's.
I had a feeling the outside world was going to be pretty damn fresh at like two o'clock in the morning or whatever it actually currently was.
"I'll get the kettle on."
Blayze told me, fixing the hood on his jumper as he headed for the door.
Lucky bastard can get dressed fast.
It takes me forever to get clothes on these days!
Thankfully because of the wood fire we'd had going last night, the master bedroom was neutral enough in temperature that I didn't mind too much about stripping out of my pyjamas and pulling daytime clothes on.
I'd honestly contemplated just wearing my pyjamas most of the way.
But that would mean we'd have to stop somewhere that I could get changed into real clothes before we made our way into the Deni Ute Muster grounds.
The dogs were nowhere to be seen on this black morning, as I set about dressing myself and I honestly wasn't surprised.
This definitely wasn't wake up o'clock.
Just as I was pulling my boots onto my sock covered feet I heard the kettle 'ding' to say it had finished boiling.
Yes.
I definitely need a cuppa.
It was times like this that I really missed coffee.
But Blayze was right about one thing.
Because I wasn't going to be driving, I could sleep if I needed or wanted to.
I walked out of our room and down to the kitchen to get my cuppa."This is ridiculous."
I grumbled, clutching my travel mug of tea between my hands and staring out the windscreen at the black sky and land that surrounded us.
Well, the blackness that stretched outside of the beam's of the Ford550's headlights and spotlights.
"You'll get over it once we're enjoying the Muster tomorrow."
Blayze answered, one elbow propped against his door and his travel mug hanging from his hand.
Luke Bryan's voice was crooning throughout the car, a nice background noise to listen to if I do say so myself.
But Blayze refused to have the music too loud, because he needed to hear anybody trying to talk over the UHF.
As if on cue, the hand held radio crackled to life.
"Radio check."
Keenan's familiar voice sounded.
I glanced towards Blayze as he pressed a side button in on the hand held microphone part.
"Loud and clear."
He informed his best friend.
"Copy that."
Troy's voice suddenly answered.
"Third that."
Heart's voice chimed in.
"Sweet!"
Keenan's voice came again.
"Blayze I can see your fucken christmas tree!"
I couldn't help but laugh.
"Righto. Let's hit this frog and road."
Blayze answered, amusement clear in his voice.
This was it.
Next stop was Riverston where Codie and Noah and Joel and Kristen would be joining us.
The thing was, because Codie had lost his license, Noah had been the next option to drive Codie's Ute.
But Noah (and I could completely understand) was too nervous to make this drive so unprepared.
For starter's, any normal person would still be asleep right now.
Granted, Noah and co were probably only just getting up considering we still had to drive into Riverston which would take at least an hour.
Also we'd be driving from darkness into sunrise and then lunch time.
It was a fair bit for somebody with around a year's worth of legal driving under their belt to cope with.
So if spoken to Blayze and we'd offered for Codie and Noah to jump into our back seat seeing as we didn't have any passenger's.
Noah was grateful.
Codie was happy to get to be in the lead car instead of stuck back somewhere in the convoy.
Blayze stashed his travel mug into one of the Ute's front seat cup holders, then put the beast into gear and pulled out onto the long stretch of red dirt road.
Car headlights flashed in my mirror, causing me to squint as Heath pulled into position behind us.
After Heath should be Troy in his Triton and then after Troy we would have Keegan join on, in his Hilux, followed by whoever else from Jackson's that were tagging along.
"You can sleep for about an hour now or wait 'till everyone else joins on in Riverston and sleep between there and Fletcher Creek."
Blayze told me, shooting a sideways glance my way.
His spotlights and light bar's were all on now, lighting up the red dirt road and the roadsides full of grass and brush, like it was almost daylight already.
"I'll see how I go."
I told him.
"Right now I'm not sure that I could sleep."
"Righto."
