"You okay?"
I stared at my way too large belly.
"It feels...weird."
I'd woken up out of my deep slumber with my seemingly always sore back, yet a really odd turning and twisting sensation in my stomach, plus cramps in the top of my stomach.
"Weird how?"
I felt Blayze shuffling on the bed beside me, clearly now awake.
"Like...pressure..."
I murmured, staring down at my belly.
"Pressure?"
Blayze sounded confused.
The usual cramp's hit my back and I winced, placing a hand against my lower back.
"Do you need to get up?"
Up.
That always works.
"Ye-yeah."
I gritted through my teeth and swung my legs towards the edge of the bed.
"Just wait a sec and I'll help ya."
Waiting wasn't a grand idea.
It felt like somebody had stuck a hook in my abdomen and was giving it a good ole twist.
My lower back was on fire.
My feet touched the carpet covered floor and suddenly Blayze was in front of me, his hands outstretched to me.
Sucking in a deep breath, I placed my hands into his.
"J-just be c-careful."
I warned.
"Careful? Why? What are you not telling me?"
"Not so many questions!"
I groaned, squeezing my eyes shut.
"Bailey-"
I doubled over as a searing pain hit my abdomen.
Ouch.
God Baby please be okay...
You're due to come out tomorrow!
"Bailey!"
The alarm was clear in Blayze's tone.
Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two-
Finally the pain subsided and I sucked in a deep, refreshing breath.
Slowly I lifted my gaze until I found Blayze's shadowed face in the darkness of our bedroom.
I breathed deeply.
"Well that was a little intense."
"What the hell happened?"
He asked.
I shrugged.
"Guess maybe the Baby's shifting or something, like Doctor Glenn said?"
"Shifting... but we don't want him or her coming out 'till tomorrow."
"No. We d-"
I winced as a kick or an elbow was thrown into the front of my stomach.
"Jeez Baby!"
I gasped, placing a hand over the space of my belly that had just jutted out.
"You okay?"
Blayze sounded concerned.
"Baby wants Mamma on her feet."
I told him, lifting my hands for help.
He sighed and gripped my hands.
Slowly he helped me to get onto my feet.
As per usual, the Baby's antics slowed down now that I was on my feet, the kick's and jutting elbows backing off.
"Thank god that's stopped."
I whispered.
That was intense!
"Are you okay?"
Blayze asked, not for the first time.
"Yes Babe. Go back to sleep."
I urged him.
"It's still dark outside."
"Yeah like I can sleep now."
Blayze's shadow moved as he reached onto my bedside table.
Suddenly my phone screen lit up, casting a bright blueish glow into our bedroom.
"Four thirty eight."
He muttered.
4:38AM.
I fell asleep some time around 8:30 last night.
I smiled.
My Baby gave me eight hours straight sleep last night!
For the first time in a week!
"Hey...Blayze?"
He set my phone back onto the bedside table and turned to me.
"I got eight hours sleep last night!"
I stated, my smile pulling at my lips.
"Yeah. You did."
The smile was audible in Blayze's voice, though I couldn't see it in the darkness that was once again filling our bedroom.
"I'm going to go umm...get a drink."
I declared and headed for the door.
"Wanna put the kettle on then?"
He asked.
At the foot of the bed, I twisted around.
"You want coffee already?"
"It's almost five."
Okay...
I shrugged and headed for the door.
Guess I'll make my fiancé a coffee then.
