Bantay (at mga 'bisita')

Its been 13 years since my parents died at sa 13 years na yun ay walang palya ang paramdam nila. And to make things even scary and interesting, hindi lang sila ang, well, guest namin.

There was this time way back 2013 when my thesis groupmates and I decided na dito sa bahay tapusin yung final papers. We gladly did all the things we could and it turned out well. Nagpameryenda pa ako dahil dun. Until I noticed one of my friend (Girl pero Mae na lang para sa privacy) na parang lumilikot yung mata niya. As if exploring. I went near her kasi nasa garahe siya and nasa may porch yung iba. I asked her kung ano problema then she said "Gaano kalakas ang paramdam dito?" I just said "Strong enough para maramdaman ng isang normal na tao." Wala namang problema sa kanya yun and narinig din pala ng iba kong kagrupo yun. Upon hearing those, bigla silang napatitig sa may hagdan. I asked them what's wrong and si Mae naman biglang tumuro sa may hagdan. In which napatingin ako. Then I saw the shock in their faces dahil isang semi transparent white figure ang nakalutang dun. I was also shocked pero inisip ko na lang na nanay ko yun at namimiss lang ako. After that they left peacefully and I apologized for what they saw. Di sila nagalit. Totally shocked lang.

Then the other visitors started roaming our property in April (2015). I was left all alone dahil nagbakasyon ang mga kasama ko sa Dumaguete. Timing naman na walang bantay so ako talaga ang naiwan. I got all I need and they peacefully left. Pagkaalis nila, palagi akong may napapansin from my peripheral vision. Seems like a lady na nakadungaw sa labas ng bintana namin. Di naman dapat ako kakabahan eh. Pero ang mas nakakakaba sakin, panong may makakadungaw dun sa may bintana EH PURO PADER na ang labas nun. Wala siyang tungtungan pero I just shrugged it off. Walang palya yun sa mga sumunod na araw. Until one of the 'guest' pulled their last straw on me. Kakagaling ko lang sa pagsamba (Iglesia Ni Cristo kasi ako) when I noticed something. Ayokong maniwala pero I saw someone familiar. Pagpasok sa loob ng bahay ay diretso bukas ng TV at mga ilaw para madivert ang atensiyon ko. Then someone knocked on the gate. To my surprise, it was a friend of mine (Joy, not her real name). I asked her kung anong ginagawa niya dun. She just stared blankly at me and then smiled. Then niyakap niya ako (Which Joy usually does kasi comfortable naman kami) then just like that she left. I was dumbfounded pero pumasok na lang ulit ako to prepare my food.

After and hour, I decided to call Joy kung nakauwi na ba siya. To my surprise she said on the other line: "Ha? Ako dumalaw diyan? Late na kaya para dumalaw diyan?" At first ayokong maniwala so I did convince her na dumalaw nga siya that time then she said "Pano kita dadalawin eh nasa probinsya ako?" And then it hit me. Na-doppelganger ako. Literal na namutla ako nun. I dropped my phone and gladly I caught it. Hanggang sa mga sumunod na araw, nagtuloy tuloy ang paranormal sa bahay namin. Hanggang ngayon naman kahit na ginawa ng school yung isang portion. Kahit mga students namin dama yun pero sabi ko sa kanila, ignore those. And I instructed them to head inside their quarters before the clock strikes 10. Di dahil may magnanakaw, but I don't want them to experience what I have experienced before. And ayoko din na may magstay na mag isa sa kanila so I always advice them to stay in groups.

Upon typing this, a dark figure is standing sa terrace namin. And di ako takot sa kanya kahit pa ang mata niya ay namumula dahil sa dugong namuo. Not today, 'guests'. Only my parents' spirits are allowed inside our property. Salamat admin and I hope isa itong story ko na mainclude mo sa page. Salamat 👍🏻
