Chapter 36

*Savannah's POV* "Um, yeah of course you can," you say nervously, "anything." Josh takes a deep breath and takes your hand, pulling you a little closer to him and then picking you up and putting you in his lap. This has become a very common place for you to spend the day if you're anywhere that's not your hospital room, because you get tired quickly, and Josh likes to feel as if he's taking care of you since he can't do a lot. "Okay well earlier while we were at your grandmas," Josh says after you get situated on his lap, "And when you introduced me to her.. you said, that we were well. Friends and roommates. Is that uh, all you think we are?" he asks. You take a deep breath and look down, unable to keep your eyes locked with his. "Um, well I guess I just.. I guess I just didn't know what to call you." you say continuing to look down, "I mean I really like you.. and I think that you like me too. But you haven't asked me to be your girlfriend.. I don't wanna just assume things." Josh takes one of his hands from your waist and lifts your chin up so you're forced to look into his eyes. "I'm okay if you assume things" Josh says sweetly, "or don't assume things. Ask me questions you have or don't ask me. I am just glad you still like me, I was really nervous you didn't." At that moment, before you can say anything, Josh leans forward and kisses you softly. As his lips lock with yours, you allow yourself to relax after your entire body tensing from the conversation. As your lips finally part from Josh's you say "I like you Josh. I think I'll always like you." It's not 'I Love You' You're not comfortable with that yet. You don't know if you love Josh yet. You don't know if you'll ever love him. But you do really like him, and after a lot of thinking lately, you do love the idea of him. You love the idea of a boyfriend again. You love the idea of someone who fell in love with you at first sight. You love the idea of someone who loves you for you, even the bad parts. But you just can't get yourself to say the words "I Love You" you can't admit to yourself that you do indeed love someone you thought you hated so much. "It's really good to hear that. I mean, there's this stereotype that guys aren't supposed to be insecure, but I sure was.." he admits. "It's okay for guys to be insecure." you assure him and then he says "Just so you know, Io have something planned so we'll have to leave here by about 7 oclock to make sure we get there on time." You smile at him again "I knew you would have something else planned. It's not like you to have a whole day and just have lunch planned." you say laughing. At that point you hear someone's voice coming towards the small area you and Josh are sitting in. You and Josh are silent for a second and watch the bridge which people cross to get to where you are. After a few seconds somebody does indeed walk across the bridge. A someone that you really didn't want to see. A someone that you really, really didn't want to see. The person who showed this place to begin with. That person was Raymond.
