Last night was weird. After that nightmare, everything around me has changed. The moon is always black and gloomy, like if it were sad or holding a mystery within its craters. The stars aren't shinning, they seem to spin around the moon, figuring out what is wrong with their master and queen. Clouds seem to cover the skies at day and the sun no longer warms my skin. Everything seems gloomy for a reason I yet can't understand. Slender hasn't spoken a word to me about my nightmare, but I guessed that he knows about it because of our mind connection.

I stood up from my bed only to stumble and fall to the floor. My face was the first thing that hit the floor. Surprising for myself, I had to use the form changing spell to return to my old self plus mutate my legs to grow a tail so I could crawl to the bathroom.

My nails buried themselves inside the wooden floor as I crawled my way towards the bathroom. Rattling followed my movement for my tail sways from side to side.

*screech*

My scales scratched the polished floor of the mansion I once called home and was brought back to it. The way I moved could only be described as miserable. Then, I remembered how mother used to move when crawling rapidly.

"Left, right, left, right, tail and hands move alike..."

I repeated the phrase as I took it into action without doubting it twice. My body tried as hard as it could to get used to this big change and in a couple of hours (two more or less) I could crawl like mother. Also, thanks to that I was already at the bathroom door.

Pleasured with the results, I mutated my tail and my tiny legs returned into view. Gracefully, I placed my right hand on the doorknob and turned it to the right.

The strong smell of Kiwi reached my nose which flinched in delight. With a smile full of pain, I closed the door and looked at myself at the mirror on the back of the door.

"No... Not on my back... Not on my legs..."

I turned to the side with my shirt lifted and my face went pale. Even with my scales I could see the huge black spot on my left side.

"B-but it... It was a nightmare only!!" I shouted to the mirror.

The reflection on the mirror changed to reveal the stocker from my nightmare and from last night: Zalgo.

"You?! Again?! You must be kidding me..." I said with slight mockery

Zalgo smiled and in the blink of an eye, he was gone again. Seconds later, as I kept looking at that spot on my side, Slender knocked on the bathroom door.

"Loving Queen of mine, I wish to speak to you..."

Out of fear, I used the form changing spell again and turned human. Smiling over my triumph, I went to open the door, but another knock interrupted my movement.

"Umm... My love, I know you changed forms cause... Well... I changed too along with you so there's no need to hide it."

Shoot! Okay, I only got busted, no biggie right?

"We need to talk about last night's nightmare..."

I knew that at some point he would ask. Well, there's no point in hiding it now.

Rapidly, I turned the doorknob and hugged Slender like if my life depended on that hug. Through our mind bond, I told him everything that happened within that nightmare and he only hummed softly in response.

He put his hand on my chin and pulled my face up. His silver eyes were watery and puffy red.

"My love, part of the dream was real. I was inside the dream, but I wasn't injured. Zalgo used this to see how far are you willing to go just to help those you love. He's testing you and if you fail, you'll go insane."

This was too much to process in a couple of minutes. Zalgo was testing me, but what for? There was no need.

I pulled away from the hug and walked to my bed. My left hand holding my side in a (kind of) calming manner. Two steps away from my bed, I fell to my injured side.

Slender walked towards me and kneeled down besides me. His hands reached for me, but I shoved them away. My broken rib still lingered inside my lung and I had to rip it out of my insides.

I looked at Slender with pleading eyes and he nodded.

"Bring me some pain killers, gauze pads, gloves, etc. Next thing I'll need you to do is to open my side and rip out my broken rib and do it fast cause I'm dying here..."

Slender nodded rapidly and went to look for the things I asked. Coughing blood towards the floor, I knew that my time was almost up, again. This isn't the first time I die, but it's the most painful one yet.

I looked up to the ceiling and sighed. Nobody knows what it feels to die time after time and yet you keep on living. I do and it's horrible. Seeing all of your beloved ones die before you isn't something pretty.

"Sorry for this..."

I looked to my right and met the source of that voice. Zalgo was besides me laid on the floor. On his eyes, I saw the sincere look of guilt and remorse.

"I didn't meant for this to happen. Your sister is very persistent and won't give up to the idea of killing you. I know that you will keep on living cause you're immortal, but anyways, I wanted to apologize for this. From now on, I shall see you as my enemy. Farewell, Queen Zoe."

Zalgo then kissed me and disappeared in a blink of an eye. Then, right on cue, Slender appeared with all the things we needed for the surgery, but as soon as he kneeled besides me, my eyes closed and everything went silent.

All of my proxy ancestors shouted at me while I was on purgatory.

Each time I died, I got send here to await for my revival. Today, it seemed different for some reason.

My ancestors never shouted to me before. Surprisingly, they seemed to accept me as their successor in the proxy line cause I'm immortal. That meant that all of their memories, abilities and powers were my own to keep forever.

The proxy mark that Slender and I shared burned like never before. Rapidly, my veins turned red like lava, my eyes turned a bright silver which looked almost white and my hair turned blonde and white.

My ancestors slowly faded away one by one as their powers were absorbed by my own body. Then, with a cry of war, I jumped to the Golden Gate at the end of the purgatory which glimmered with life.

"I'm coming for you, Zalgo..."
