"Never underestimate desperate people. You never know how far they will go to get what they want."

"I did some digging," Levi approached Alyssa, "it's been bought by some lady named Cassandra Pines. Age 48, single mother of a 20 year old girl, Tracie. Lives off her dead husband's legacy and a rental farmhouse in Florida which her parents named after her. Has an unofficial affair with a local photographer. She's residing a few blocks down from here, and paid $50,000 for the bones." He flapped the paper on his hand and looked up at Alyssa.

"Levi. How the hell did you get all of that?"

"You-"

"No. Why the hell did you get all of that?"

"You questioned my abilities. I had to prove my worth. Now before you ask how it helps us, I'll explain you. We'll visit this nice lady, make her realise she doesn't really need those bones, and offer to buy it from her."

"You have $50,000 just lying in your pocket? We already spent too much and have a long way to go. Save your stupid money."

"Like I said, major in business. I would never invest in something futile."

"This is futile."

"It is, so we'll offer her fake money." Levi's eyes twinkled.

"Fake money?"

He nodded.

"She's been around money all her life. She'll immediately know fake from real."

Levi sighed and slid his arm over her shoulder, making her walk with him.

"Lisa.." He sang. "Stop thinking of me as some idiot."

"Impossible."

"You got a better idea? I'm all ears."

Alyssa looked away.

"See? Don't question what exists if you can't provide an alternative."

"Just.. get me out of here." She looked up in his eyes and then moved away.

"I thought you were liking it here? I saw you, you fit right in, Miss Heiress."

Alyssa stopped and turned around. She was taken aback by the sudden close proximity, which she wasn't expecting.

"What?" Levi asked when she didn't say anything.

"I fit right in the events organised on Earth, my home. Not in a hell with you in it." She turned on her heel and walked out of the door.

"Everything alright, Tristan?" A man asked and patted Levi's back.

"Yes, yes, uh.. sir.. I, my missis, she's just not feeling well enough to be here." Levi replied.

"Oh but Vivienne was fine when I was talking to her just a while back. What happened?" The man frowned.

Levi internally groaned. You had to be so nice to everyone, Lisa? He thought.

"It's okay, just a few pills and she'll be good to go." He chuckled. "Don't you worry. If you'll excuse me, I gotta.." He pointed in the direction Alyssa walked away.

"Yes, yes. I will see you later. It was nice to meet you, Tristan. I'll see more of you and Vivienne."

"You bet."

....

"Hey! What the hell?" Levi extended his arms to his side. "I've been looking for you everywhere!"
