"She put her hand on her hip with the confidence of an army. Just one woman full of sex, lust, chaos and the vast beauty of an open road."

"Levi Cahill.." The girl smiled and her eyes lit up golden. "Thanks for looking after Alyssa." She got down on her knees beside him and he flinched away.
"Do not touch me." He warned.
She frowned. "But you look.. Mm.. delicious.." She chuckled.
His hand went inside his jacket to get his blade but it wasn't there. His eyes roamed around and found it lying on the road a little away from him.
Alyssa got out with the help of the two soldiers. The driver, a six foot male who looked no less than Adonis, reached there in time to grab Alyssa. Her right foot heel broke off and she stumbled.
"You okay, Alyssa?" He asked in a Russian accent.
"Fine." She huffed and steadied herself. She removed her boots and asked, "what took so long to find me?"
"We couldn't find you.. we're sorry."
"I was cuffed and I found a nest and you couldn't find me?"
"A nest?"
"Yeah, but these cuffs wouldn't let me talk to them." She rolled her eyes and they fell on Levi, who was still on the ground. The girl was saying something to him.
Before the guy could say anything, Alyssa shouted. "Hey, you! Not a mark on him!"
Levi and the brunette turned their heads and saw Alyssa walk over.
"He's to be kept safe." She added.
"Of c-course." The girl said and got up.
"Can you take these off?" Alyssa asked and brought her locked hands up.
The girl ran her finger through the symbols on the cuffs and Levi held his breath in anticipation and prayer.
"No."
He sighed in relief and Alyssa glared at him. "It's okay. Take me home." She turned around and walked towards the truck. With a single look over her shoulder, she said, "him, too."
All the four soldiers looked back down at Levi who stared back. He felt vulnerable and exposed with his weapons. He knew talking back could have bad consequences so he didn't utter a word.
"Come on!" Alyssa's voice made the soldiers move and grab Levi up from his arms. He was thrown in the back and the door was locked.
....
Levi was staring at the white ceiling from his bed. He was in a motel room.
Out of the radar of Angels and right among the soldiers without any weapons.
The door creaked open and Levi turned his head to see yet another soldier walk in and look around to check the place.
"A girl literally came to check up on me one minute ago. What do you think I can do without any resources!?" He yelled.
The golden eyed man closed the door without a word. Levi groaned and looked back up.
What felt like years but were hours, Alyssa walked into the room. Now free of the cuffs.
Levi sat up. "What am I doing here?"
"You caught me, it's only fair I returned the favor." She said and locked the door behind her.
"I'd rather kill myself than let you turn me."
She tilted her head slightly. "We'll see. Anyways," she laughed and showed him her wrists, "thanks to Aradia."
He mocked a laugh.
"Seriously?" She deadpanned.
"Yes. I'm in this danger because of you. Angels won't help me because I helped you-"
"I helped myself. The little help I needed later on was because you cuffed me."
"You know why I did that!"
"Oh yeah because I'm a monster."
"And you think I'll join your army and follow your orders like those slaves of yours outside these doors whom you've gotten to check up on me every damn minute!"
"I had to go away to remove the cuffs. Only Aradia could do it. Tough hardcore magic. I'm sorry I had to keep you waiting." She smiled.
"You have to stop yourself, Alyssa." Levi walked closer to her. "See where you've brought me. This place is flooding with soldiers of Aradia. She's our enemy which makes them our enemy. This is not where we should be. We should be miles away from them, not at the center core."
"Enemy?"
"Yes!"
"You're my enemy, Levi. They're my friends." She simply stated. "But you know what they say.. keep your friends close," she reached out and grabbed his shirt into her fist, "and enemies closer."
With a swift motion, she pulled him towards her and crashed their lips together. Her pull was too strong for Levi to fight and he couldn't move away.
She ran her fingers through his hair and deepened the kiss. Levi wanted to push her away but instead pulled her closer. She smiled into the kiss at the gesture.
She gently placed her hand at his chest and pulled apart. "Does this mean you'll come with me?"
"No." He said.
"Mm, stubborn as always." She giggled and leaned in once again.
He tugged at her shirt as they walked back to the bed. She pushed him down and got on top of him. Flipping her hair to one side, she bent down to kiss his neck.
He closed his eyes and breathed deeply. "We shouldn't.."
She silenced him with a kiss.
He rolled them over and kissed her back. As he placed kisses along her jawline, she whispered, "you're like an underage kid in a stripper bar." She chuckled. "Or a high school boy buying drugs from a Don for the first time."
He pushed himself up in a plank position and looked straight down in her glowing eyes. "You're like a dark poison. Everything about you screams danger."
"But you love it."
"I hate it." He corrected her. "I hate that part of you and I know there's still good within you. I want that back. I'm trying so hard and doing everything bad and crazy to bring that back." He whispered longingly.
"Well, stop. You can do everything bad and crazy and not feel the pain, just bliss.. and fun.. and more of this." She grabbed him by the chin and kissed him again. "I could've killed you but I don't want to."
"Why?"
"Because I want you with me. Just like old times. But don't for a second think that I'll put up with you forever. Because I know you'll keep trying to find a way to hurt me." She kissed his cheek and whispered in his ear.
"And the moment you try that, you're dead."
Shivers ran up his body at the sound of her voice.
"I'm offering you eternity and happiness with me or a painful and slow death of you and everyone you've ever known."
He pulled away from her and sat up on the bed beside her.
She sighed as she saw the ceiling over her, instead of him.
"That came out wrong. I just meant that you shouldn't belittle us so much. We're fun."
He turned his face to the ground. Uneasiness written all over his face.
