"She's the kind of queen that knows her crown isn't on her head but in her soul."

Alyssa opened her eyes and shifted to a comfortable position. "What in the.." She groaned.

She realised she was lying on a soft cotton bed with silk sheets. The room she was in looked like it belonged to a hippie soul.

There were dreamcatchers and beautiful oil paintings hanging on the stone walls. Shell curtains hung low from the ceiling, and fairy lights and candles lit up the room in a soft glow.

A knock on the door alerted Alyssa and she sat up. Her hand went to her jacket and she realised she wasn't wearing it.

Her eyes widened in panic. The jacket had the blade. Instead, she was wearing a translucent silk white gown.

The door opened and a girl peeped in. When she saw Alyssa looking at her with wide eyes, she immediately walked in.

"Oh, my lady, you're up." She smiled. "Did you have a good night's sleep?" She started folding the sheets.

"Show me your eyes." Alyssa demanded.

"What, my lady?" The girl stopped and looked up.

Alyssa looked at her eyes, they were brown. She relaxed a bit and then eyed the girl. "I'm not your lady."

The girl chuckled and got back to work. "You always say that, my lady. Has it ever changed anything?"

Think, Alyssa, think, she thought.

"Where's the guy who was with me?" She asked.

"Who, my lady?" The girl asked sweetly and then stopped and gasped, "Was Prince William here last night?"

"Who? Prince? What?"

The girl stared at Alyssa.

"Adina, what's taking so long?" Another female voice was heard and seconds after, another girl walked in.

"Maddy, go and tell Her Highness that Princess Arabella is not feeling well and wishes to stay in bed." The first girl, Adina spoke.

"Are you alright, my lady?" Maddy asked and walked over to Alyssa and put her palm on her forehead.

"You don't seem to have a flu. Is your stomach aching? Is it that time of the month?" She continued asking questions in a heavy British accent.

Alyssa slapped her hand away. "I'm fine, move away!"

"Hm, I think you didn't sleep well." Maddy responded and after a pause, gasped. "Were you with Prince William last night, my lady?"

"Who is Prince William? Who are you? Who am I? What is this place? What lady you keep speaking about?" Alyssa exasperated and got up from her bed. "I had a jacket with me and a phone. Give me my stuff back."

The two girls looked at each other and had a silent conversation. Alyssa noticed it.

"What's with the look?"

Adina grabbed Alyssa and sat her down in front of a huge mirror. Her eyes widened when she saw her reflection.

Her hair were gliding softly till her shoulders in smooth waves, her silk gown resembled Victorian era style. The sleeves were a little over a wrists.

"We have to get you ready, Arabella." Adina spoke. "Your mother has asked of you." She began brushing her hair.

Alyssa sat there. Still and wide eyed.
