"The best way out is always through."

"Oh.." Alyssa mumbled. "So do you, like, have to head back?"
"I've already called the Council here so that'd be stupid. But maybe day after tomorrow.. I'll head straight back."
"Alright. You should've taken care of it first."
"I know I should've." He groaned and put his hands on his face.
"What's done is done, focus on minimizing the damage now. The best way out is always through. Has he signed with someone else or is just in talks?"
"Signed."
"No worries, chuck him out. Your company is amongst the big shots, Levi. I'm sure you'll get other financiers."
"You don't get it, I was deep into this one. I had taken steps as if I already have the deal because Jesus, I was so close!" He shouted in frustration.
"Is there anyway I can help?" She stupidly asked.
"Of course no. If there was a way anyone could've helped, don't you think I would've been one?" He raised his voice and then sighed. "I'm sorry, Alyssa, I didn't mean to-"
"No, it's alright. I.. get it."
"I just need this tribe thing out of my hands now. Then only I'll truly be able to focus on the deal and its damages."
"I'll call my dad and tell him we've arranged for a meeting." She said and Levi nodded.
He went back to his phone and Alyssa called John.
....
John and Bella were sitting in a restaurant with two other men.
One was bald and had a long, brown moustache, big brown eyes and was a little overweight. He had freckles all over his face which was long and oval.
The other looked more like a hippie. He had long black dreadlocks, and lots of jewellery on him. His eyes were hidden behind glasses which he refused to remove even indoors. He was lean but muscular.
"Yer dawter is quite ay charm, eh sire?" The hippie laughed.
"She's just doing what she sees is fit." John replied. "My concern isn't what the outcome tomorrow night will be, it is how the people will react."
"And there is no doubt it would be anything pleasant." The bald man said.
"Why do ye nawt ask uh.. lettle uhlisa ta let ye 'nd yer preeety lady ta do da talkin'?" The hippie said in what sometimes sounded Italian but sometimes Russian accent.
"Because we wouldn't even know what to say.. I mean, how are we supposed to ask all the people who placed their faith in me and moved across an ocean with me and then seventeen years, still faithfully chose me to forget their sacrifices and join hands with their enemies?"
"This is why uniting enemies is never an easy road." Bella sighed.
"What uh are we ta do then?"
John said as a concluding statement. "The councils will meet tomorrow. Alyssa has visibly changed in this matter. She'll take charge tomorrow and keep her terms, whatever they are."
Bella protested. "We know what they're! They're unacceptable, she'll just get hated on!"
"Then so be it. I can't protect her any longer, she wouldn't let me. If history must repeat itself yet again, then who am I to stop it?"
