"Too often we judge other groups by their worst examples, while judging ourselves by our best intentions."

"Mr Lassiter?"
Robb pulled away from Renee and looked back at an old man who was holding a file in his hand.
"Yes?"
The man glanced at Renee before speaking, "your father asked me to inform you that it's been confirmed that Levi Cahill and Alyssa Lauder are both back in their respective houses."
Robb didn't show anything on his face. He just slightly smiled and nodded at the man, who bowed a little and walked away.
"Are you planning to do something?" Renee inquired.
"No. We already have a problem at hand, if we tell everyone I want to communicate with the Americans; they'll probably hang me."
"But do you?"
"Do I what?"
"Want to communicate with the Americans?"
Robb pondered over it. "Honestly? I don't really know. I mean, they're alive, right? Alyssa's back means she was human when I casted the spell. I think that's enough to know and sleep peacefully at night. And as I said, our hands are full with different matters. We all just became like you. Non Walkers. Thanks to us, so the people won't really appreciate our reminiscing sessions."
Renee noticed that Robb again averted to what the tribe wanted, not him. Then she realised that just who Robb was. Not a leader or heir, but related to both. A part of the royal family and a direct participant in the events that led to this crisis. Of course, he showed his leadership responsibilities and tried to put his people first. Because ultimately, what he wanted was just whatever his people wanted.
....
Dallas, Texas
John entered into the small room with Bella closely behind him. The members of the Great Council stood up.
Ruby and Alyssa were also present near the side wall.
"Good evening, everyone. Please have a seat." John addressed and everyone sat back down.
"It pleases me to have you all here on such a short note. I'm thankful to the Gods above that today I capable of saying that my daughter had travelled to the spiritual realm with an intention to understand the situation. Unfortunately, complications made her stay longer than she had anticipated but nonetheless, she's back with us." He gestured towards his daughter on his right side and smiled proudly. Alyssa smiled back at her father as everyone's eyes fell on her.
"Listening to her experiences made my hairs stand." John chuckled. "I'm so happy to have you back, honey. I think I always underestimated you."
Alyssa smiled and shook her head out of politeness.
John proceeded to tell the important parts of her story, which focused more on how Aradia had been dealt with and less on the fact that Alyssa had been turned and was helped by a Cahill, a Lassiter and a human spirit.
People did raise eyebrows at her when they learnt she met them but John never explained the degree of their companionship.
He knew he was already walking on thin ice.
But Alyssa didn't have it. She wanted everyone to know just what had happened and just how unhealthy the tribal differentiation had proved itself.
".. peace has been restored. It may have taken all the three tribe's interference but things go back to normal now. The realms are open to us without any threat, it's a good news. To many more years." John finished off his speech.
