The house was filled with the aroma of chocolate chip cookies. I hummed as I pulled the pan out of the oven and turned it off. A shuffling sound came from behind me and I looked over my shoulder.

"Rose," I giggled, leaning down and scooping the puppy up. "You can't have these, you'll get sick." She barked as I carried her into the living room. "Stay here and play." The little fur ball ran in circles and I couldn't help but laugh, until the door bell rang that is.

I walked over and opened it, smiling even more at who it was.

"Hey, Rogue,"I stood up on my tip toes and kissed his lips. He didn't show any emotion and I backed off. "What's wrong, come in."

"I think it would be better if I didn't," he wouldn't look me in the face.

"What is it?"

"I think we should.. Break up."

I froze. "You're breaking up with me?"

"It's just not working. I'll see you around, I guess." With that, he walked away. Tears streamed down my cheeks as Rose jumped up with her paws on my legs. I closed the door and clenched my hands into fists.

"Like hell you'll see me around. Jerk." I went back into the kitchen and moved the cookies from the pan to a cooling rack.

Rogue and I had been dating for almost eleven months now. We first met a few weeks after the Fairy Tail guild had disbanded, which was two years ago. Jobless, I went to Sabertooth and pretty much became the Mira of our guild. I am no where near as powerful as she was, but I could bust tables like no other.

I would have to say, Rogue was like a best friend, he was the first person I actually got to know when I joined. And I think that's how we fell in love, well I did at least. Apparently he doesn't have the same feelings anymore. Of course he chose my day off so he didn't have to do it in front of the guys.

I wiped my hands off on a towel and stocked into my room, flopping onto my bed. Rose yipped and hopped onto the bed next to me.

"Not now," I mumbled, turning away from her. She climbed over me and found my face, whimpering. I sighed, "no matter how much you try, you'll never be a Lily."

Damn, I've never felt so lonely.

"Bleep! Bleep! Bleep!" I groaned and hit the snooze button with my big toe. I must have fallen asleep, ugh I have to actually get up and go to work.

Sitting up, the darkness welcomed me. I tripped through my room to the bathroom and got in the shower.

Don't think about him, you need this job, it's not like you're good at anything else. Magic is out of the picture, you vowed never to use it again, Fairy Tail was the last time.

I hurriedly threw on a long, tight fitting dress. It was a popular choice, the guys loved it since it showed off my curves. I've heard that the best way of revenge is to show them what they are missing out on.

I put a cup full of food and water in Rose's food dishes, and looked at the clock. I still have a few minutes before I have to leave, why not pick out a book to take? My eyes scanned over all my filled shelves until they fell on a spine with no title.

"What's this?" I pulled it out and saw the pages were blank. "Weird.. Hey what if I wrote my own book?" I've never done that before, and I have so many ideas.. A smirk spread across my face and I was on my way to the guild.

Unlocking the big doors, I pushed them open. In the mornings, I'm usually the first one here so I can prepare for the day. I quickly pulled chairs and stools off of table tops, arranging them around, then took a wet cloth and wiped the tops down.

Next, I went into Sting's office, he rarely ever used it, it was more where he piled up mail, and grabbed a stack of job requests. With a jar of pins in hand, I hung them on the cork wall.

"Morning, Levy," our chef walked in and straight to the kitchen.

"Morning!"

"How was your day off?"

"It was just peachy." I gritted my teeth on the last word.

"That's good." And that was the end of our conversation, like usual. We didn't talk much, heck I don't even know his name. No one does, except one time I heard one of our food suppliers call him 'Vin', but that was all.

Now that my morning prep was over, I took a seat behind the bar and took the blank book out, opening to the first page. What to write, what to write.. Ah! My pen scribbled word after word onto the paper, I was already flipping the page, and then another. So lost in my writing, I didn't notice Sting approach.

"Morning, curvy," he whispered in my ear, making me scream and jump three feet in the air. "BAHAHA!"

"Sting! You could have given me a heart attack," my hand was clutched over my chest.

"Aw, is that all?"

"Shut up," I rolled my eyes and smiled, turning back to my story. He placed a hand on either side of me on the counter, trapping me and resting his chin on my shoulder.

"What are you writing?"

"Mm a story. I've never written one before, so I decided to give it a shot." He nodded and watched for a few more moments.

"I'm sorry about you and Rogue," his voice dropped to a whisper as guild members started trickling in. My hand stopped moving.

"He already told you?"

"Frosch told Lector and he came to me. He hasn't told anyone else that I know of."

"Oh." My hand started moving again, but a lot quicker.

"Hey, Levy, can we get a few drinks?" A voice from one of my tables called.

"Yep, I'll be right there!" I slammed the book cover shut, sighed, and stuffed it under the bar counter. "I'm dreading his arrival."

"I know you are, I'll keep him out of your way." Sting assured me, moving his arms.

"Thanks."

Let the long day begin.
