"Lucy, just let Gray put the cuffs around your wrists. They will snuff out your magic," Makarov watched me intensely, once again.

"Master, stop it, leave her alone. She has a reason for everything that's happened," Wendy ran and blocked the path between me and the old man.

"Wendy if you stay on her side, I will no longer be your master." I could hear her tiny gasp, it was barely audible but still there. My eyes shot up at him and I threw my arms around Wendy, bringing her close to my body.

"If you would have a little girl choose over two people she loves, then you aren't suited to be a master," I yelled.

"Lucy, I'm not a little girl I can make my own choices," she looks up at me and a tear escaped.

"You're my little girl and I'm always going to look out for you." A smile spread across her face and she nodded.

"Sky dragon, ROAR!" She put her hands to her mouth and attacked, catching them off guard.

"Whoop whoop! That's what I'm talking about!" Zancrow cheered and jumped into the circle with us. "Up top, lil' spazz." They high fived and smiled.

"URGH! This is the last time I will try to deal with you peacefully Lucy Heartfillia. Not only have you brutally injured my children, but now you are manipulating them and turning them against the ones they love. That is unacceptable."

"Master, you don't understand, it was my decision and she's only doing what's right-" Wendy started.

"I'm so sorry, I still cannot agree with what you say. There is no manipulation going on here, and if you don't believe me then I am happy to put you in your place. In other words, give me your best shot, old timer," I knew the last few sentences were kind of rude, but at this point these people are just getting annoying. If they won't listen to what I have to say, screw them. I pulled all of my keys out and bundled them into my hands. "Wendy, Zancrow, get out of here I'm just going to take them all out with one quick sweep."

"Wait, I want to stay here and help you," Wendy grabbed onto my wrist.

"Let's go, good luck Lucy," Zancrow picked her up and threw her over his shoulder.

"No, put me down!" She pounded her fists on his back as they ran off.

"Hmph. Ok then, with all thirteen keys combined," the normal aura radiated off of me as I raised my hands towards the sky. "I ask you to lend me your power. SACRED ATTACK: THIRTEEN BONDS!" My hands fell out in front of me and I closed my eyes, ready to open them in the clouds.

But nothing happened.

Some unknown source cleared their voice and I opened my eyes. "Wha- what the hell? Why aren't my spirits responding?!"

"Now, Gray!" Makarov bellowed and in seconds, my wrists were cuffed.

"Oh, no," I whimpered, trying to keep myself from having a break down. Gray took the keys from my clamped hands and linked his arm with mine, escorting me away with the rest of the pissed guild members.

We were a few paces behind anyone in ear shot when he looked at me and whispered,"why aren't you calling for help? That's what I would do."

I sniffled, some tears trailing down my cheeks.," Because I told them I could handle this and I don't want anything to happen to them, especially Wendy. Gildarts and Zeref are strong enough to hold themselves up against all you guys, but the others wouldn't stand a chance. They've created such close bonds with these guys, they wouldn't be able to take them down. Natsu could possibly, but he wouldn't do it on the grounds we currently stand on. And the ones who were in jail, they would definitely try to defeat them but would be done within minutes."

"You've gotten yourself into some pretty deep trouble. Remember when we used to talk about things? What happened to that? Why did you cut us out of your life?"

"I just couldn't take it anymore, I was in a tough place and what happened with Natsu and everything-"

"Just because Natsu said some stupid stuff doesn't mean the rest of us will. Sure, there are times that everyone screws up, but those are also the things that bring us together."

"Yeah, but you don't try to kill someone and then expect to be let back into a group like nothing happened," I blurted out, hiccuping.

"Hey, hey calm down." When my hiccups didn't slow he sighed. "You know, I'm the reason why my first master died."

"What?" My voice came soft but curious.

"Her name was Ur. I had been training with her and Lyon for a while when I finally came up with the idea that I was strong enough to take on Deliora. Boy was I wrong, but I didn't realize it until after I brought him to a city that killed thousands of innocent people. And then Lyon got power crazy like I did and tried to take him on too, but he was also too weak. Ur gave her body up to save us and freeze Deliora, so she pretty much turned into an ice shell around the beast. That was the last time I got to see her." He looked up at the sky.

"I'm sorry, it wasn't your fault, you were just a kid."

"Being a kid doesn't excuse what I did. And anyway, Lyon had made the decision to melt the ice around Deliora, so now Ur is in the ocean."

"Hey, that just means she's everywhere now, since she would go through the water cycle."

"You know, I never thought about it like that.."

"Will you two shut up? Gray you aren't supposed to talk to her, she's not on our side," Evergreen turned around fiercely.

"Chill out, doesn't mean I can't treat her like a human."

"She doesn't deserve it. And if Master hears you guys, he'll be furious."

"Mind your own business, please?" She huffed but turned around. I giggled quietly, not being able to help it.

"There's that smile," Gray said.

"You're right, thank you," I grinned and he did too.
