Chapter 9

"Erza, block the door," Gray shot up and picked my chair up once again. She nodded and was at the door, listening to what was happening.

"It sounds like Lucy's team is attacking," she informed. "Should we have her call them off?"

"No, we need to get her away from here. If they don't know where she is, we win."

"What do you mean you win?" I couldn't turn around well.

"There's no time, they are bound to come here soon, go, run!" Erza waved her hand at us, requiping.

"Where do we have to run??" I whispered screamed.

"Lucy, can I trust you?" Gray's tone was serious.

"Of course, I'm not going to do anything, I'm tired of fighting you guys anyway." He grunted and broke the cuffs, pushing me up off the chair. "Why are you-" he pulled a book off one of the shelves and it clicked.

"Secret door," he grinned at me as I watched the bookcase move. "Now." His cold fingers dug into my wrist and we took off, Erza hurriedly putting the book back in place. There was a loud explosion and I screamed.

"This isn't good, this really isn't good and it's all my fault."

"No, it's all of our faults. You can't take all the blame." We ran for what seemed like forever until there wasn't any noise. Surrounded by complete silence and mostly darkness is very intimidating. In the distance, there was light and we sped up. The opening brought us to the river where I found Ophiuchus.

"You turned Virgo's tunnel into an escape route?"

"Yeah, it was easier than filling it all in."

"This is the first place I kissed Sting," I looked over at the very tree.

"Still can't believe you dated that idiot," Gray turned around and flopped back into the calm waters with a splash.

"What are you doing?"

"Chilling. Waiting for the others to arrive. They know about the passage way so it's just a matter of time." I sighed and flopped back into the river next to him.

"I want to sleep for a few thousand years. If Makarov and the rest of Fairy Tail arrive, I want you to kill me."

"What? Where is this coming from?"

"If they arrive it means I didn't do my job of keeping my team safe. Just thinking about them risking everything for me.. Wendy, Bickslow, Natsu.."

"I heard my name?" His voice startled me and I sprung up.

"Natsu!" I leapt at him, wrapping my arms around his neck. He returned the favor by snaking his arms around my waist.

"Hey, Luce. Ask for some help next time." He showed his signature grin.

"Ugh, I love you so much," I put my hands on both his cheeks and pulled his lips to mine.

"Ew.." My head snapped back to Gray who was gagging.

"Problem, ice princess?" Natsu smirked.

"What happened to everyone else?"

"Right here," a roar filled the air. I looked up and saw a livid Laxus, plummeting towards us. "Lightning dragon, ROAR!" My instincts jumped in and I shoved Natsu backwards, letting the bolts engulf me.

"Lucy!"

I screeched, my anger growing. My pouch of keys began glowing. I threw my head back, filling the earth with an in human scream as light shot out of me and straight up in the sky. I could feel the spirits presence, all thirteen of them surrounding me. The light slowly subsided and circled around my weak figure were my celestial spirits.

"Leo!" I cried, running over to him, going to embrace him. He threw his hand up and a beam of light came, hitting me directly in the chest and sending me flying back. I skidded across the ground, shielding my face. "What was that for?"

"Get her," his voice came, low and unsettling.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw her. Virgo pounced on me, straddling my waist and quickly tying my hands up with a whip.

"Long time no see, princess," she giggled, and slapped me across the face. "Here," she got up off me and yanked me up by my hair, holding me there. "Don't want you to miss your friends getting beaten."

I watched, unable to do anything, as my team fought against Fairy Tail, and both fighting my spirits.

"No.." I whispered.

"Oh, but yes. You see, all this time we have been feeding off your magic. Ever since you've started using other magic types, it seemed you were forgetting about us, the ones who have been here forever. Fuzen has only been here like what, a year tops? How come she has gotten more attention? We began to hate you, despise you, want you dead. So I think it's time for that. But first, why don't we watch your little friends die?"
