Chapter 26

"The final battle of the season will be Lucy versus Jura," we stood opposite of each other.

"So, you are a wizard Saint?" I looked him over.

"And you are the celestial wizard everyone is talking about," he grinned.

"Due to safety precautions the arena floor and fighters will be transported to a location further away. Both their magic power is strong enough to take out the whole city but we will have lacrama catching all the action." The ground began rumbling and in an instant, we were somewhere else. I couldn't tell where we were though. "Now, let the battle begin!"

I wasn't paying attention, still trying to figure out where they put us, and I was sent flying. "AUGH!" I screamed as a pillar shot up under me. I flipped backwards and landed on my feet.

I took my chance and pounced, going in for a hit. He reacted and surrounded himself in a rock wall. I bounced up and found that he had left the top open. Falling through, I landed a kick to his shoulder and he stumbled back, the wall dropping.

He recovered and charged at me. I threw my arms up and blocked a punch to the face, kneeing him in the gut. Dust and sand puffed up as another pillar shot out of the ground behind me. It curved and sped down.

Jura started laughing, thinking he had won this, but the dust covered me in a cloud and he couldn't see what I was doing. I brought my arms up and stopped the pillar, pushing against it with all my strength. The dust cleared and he saw me struggling to save myself. I looked up and saw him gawking, so I gave him a smirk and brought my leg up, shattering the rock.

"As that all you got?" I asked, brushing my dirty hands on my pants.

"How were you not crushed by that?!"

"Did you also notice, I have yet to use my magic?"

He grunted and brought his real power. All at once he sent pillars, rocks, and walls. My eyes widened as one actually knocked me to the ground. Another came from above, trapping me to the ground. I got hit a few more times, and laid motionless.

For the first time, I actually was being beaten by an opponent. I felt sore and dead, but I didn't want to use my magic yet, I know my spirits by themselves wouldn't be able to beat him, so I have to save my magic energy. I don't know how much the attack uses, but the last one took pretty much all my power.

"Are you done?" Jura towered over me.

"No," I sat up, wiping the sweat from my brow. "I've been putting on a show." He looked confused and I pulled out the thirteen gate keys. Standing up, I clutched them with both hands in front of me and closed my eyes. "With all thirteen gate keys combined.." The aura glowed around me. I raise my hands upwards. "I ask you to lend me your power." My eyes shot open, aflame with white. "SACRED ATTACK: THIRTEEN BONDS!" I pointed my fists at him.

Screaming at the top of my lungs, a blinding light shot from my hands and landed on the target. It looked like, and probably was close to a nuclear explosion. The ground crumbled and fell in on itself. Jura was no where in sight so I assumed he was pushed away by the blow. It felt like deja vu, because I again was flying up into the air but this time I went twice as high.

"Oh, no!!!" I screeched, I had no more magic energy. I forgot about the being sent flying part. I continuously screamed as I came closer to the ground.

I collided with the hard ground, feeling like I just died. My eyes slowly adjusted and I found myself in a crater, a lacrama was floating above me. I closed my eyes, smiling and did the best I could to raise a thumbs up to it. My arm collapsed back down and I was out.

When I woke up, I was in a bed and familiar faces crowded me.

"She's awake!" Wendy squealed excitedly. I yawned and rubbed my aching eyes.

"Lucy, you won the games for us," Natsu pumped his fists.

I looked over at Gildarts. "I can hold my own."

"I'm impressed, I thought you were tough with the first attack. Everyone in Fiore could hear and feel it, but with this new one, the whole world felt it."

"What can I say?" I moved my arms and they felt like they were on fire. "Wait, did Jura make it out alive?"

"They found him a few miles away. He was badly injured but he survived. Glad you didn't use that attack on one of us," Master said.

"You're even scarier than Erza now," Gray joked.

"Watch it," Erza and I barked at the same time.
