"Jellal!" I screeched, bolting up. My body was drenched in sweat and I felt sick. Why am I laying in bed?

"So you do know me?" His voice came from the door. I jumped out of bed, getting ready to attack him. Oh right. My knee gave out and I crashed to the floor. "Are you alright?!" He came around the bed to me.

"Get away from me you monster," my hand went to my key pouch. But it wasn't there. "Where are my keys?"

"I had to take them for safety measures. I knew you would try to use them on me."

"I wonder why, and how do you remember me?"

"I've kept in touch with Erza, after Natsu and Gray told your old guild members your back story, she told me to keep watch."

"How did you escape the Magic Council?" I was seething at this point.

"Ultear, I know you've heard of her, and another girl named Meredy set me free. Ultear gave her life to save many others when we were battling the dragons at the games, and Meredy was captured a while after that. I haven't seen her since, but she is most likely dead."

"Why should I believe you?"

"Who else do you have to believe in this situation? You are surrounded by criminals, some who could snap you in half."

"Obviously they wouldn't, or they would have done it already at the banquet. You need me for something."

"Will you trust me?" He held his hand out to me. I was hesitant, but I took it and he helped me up. We walked out back onto the deck, me hobbling with my arm around his neck for support, and also to break his neck if he tries anything.

The other five were standing around chatting. Macbeth spotted me first and smiled. "You're awake, I hope your wounds are healing fine."

"They are, thanks for asking," I had a sarcastic tone. "You know if you captured Wendy, too, I wouldn't be in so much pain. Even Chelia would be great right now."

"Shut up and stop complaining," Zancrow barked.

"Watch it," I barked back. "Now, spill."

"Since all of us are here now," Jellal squinted at me. "The reason we need you is because of Natsu. Well we need everyone here except Jose, Macbeth?"

"What?!" Jose looked surprised and Macbeth picked him up, throwing him off the ship. Seeing as though we were surrounded by clouds, he probably won't survive the fall.

"You just killed a man!" I gaped at the sight that I just saw.

"We don't need him, and he knows about our mission. We can't have that. If I could get on with things, Natsu, Gajeel, Wendy, Sting, and Rouge are our main targets. I'm going to let our leader explain the rest when we get to our destination."

"Really? All you're going to tell me is you want to kill those five?"

"No, not kill. We just need to capture. It won't be long until we dock. We are picking up a very special person."

"How special is this person?"

"Let's just say you won't want to have an attitude with him."

"Is that a way to introduce me?" A loud thump made me jump.

"You came to us, so impatient," Jellal joked.

"Oh my god," Azuma said something for the first time since I've woken up.

"Zeref," I breathed. Why are all these guys together, it makes no sense. Nothing is falling into place....

"Hello, Lucy. We have never formally met," he extended his hand out to me. I shook my head no and he grinned. "Smart girl, but don't worry. I've gotten my magic under control." Neither of us moved and he shrugged, lowering his arm.

"Why are we here?" I asked, still waiting for an explanation.

"Jellal here, you two have a history," he grinned again, looking between us. "Well, he has told you who we are after already. The dragon slayers. It hasn't been revealed yet, they don't even know, but their dragons are using them. When all of the slayers combine their magic, they can create a portal that brings the dragons to life. But the catch is when they bring the dragons back, the slayers will die. The dragons will pretty much live off of the slayers lives."

"What about Laxus and me?" Cobra piped in.

"You two are second generation, you weren't raised by dragons, so a dragon wouldn't be able to use your magic, but you can use its."

"Wouldn't it just be easier to kill them?" It was Azuma's turn to question.

"No, once they die their magic power would leave their bodies, and it could still combine. That much magic energy could result in anything, the dragons may still use that to escape, resulting in world chaos."

"Don't you already cause world chaos?" I got wide eyes and Jellal bumped his hip into me, as in to shut up.

"I'm changing, I went through a faze of pain when I couldn't control my magic, but I've learned to use my evil for good."

"Dude, you've killed millions of people, and you're just now learning how to do good? Why don't I buy that?"

"You tell me. But know, I am Natsu's brother. He doesn't remember me, and he isn't strong enough to kill me, but he's still my older brother and I want him safe."

"He's your brother?! You're a dragon slayer?"

"Are you a complete idiot? Just because Natsu was raised by Igneel doesn't mean Igneel gave birth to him, that wouldn't make any sense."

"None of this is making sense. It's all going over my head."

"I thought you of all people would be the easiest to work with," he gritted his teeth.

"Get to the part where we are involved."

"Well, what's one way that the dragon slayers can still live with out the possibility of summoning the dragons?"

"I don't know, they wouldn't be able to use magic."

"Correct, and what's a place close by that doesn't have any magic?"

"Uhm, the only place I can think of is Edolas, but how would we get there? The opening between our world and theirs closed years ago."

"Yes, but I've been doing a lot of research, this has been an issue for a while. There is actually a door way in the celestial world. It's been closed since there is no more magic in Edolas, but if a wizard with your power were to use it on the door, it would open."

"How would I get back from Edolas? I wouldn't be able to use my keys with out magic."

"You would have to sacrifice yourself for the good of the world."

"What if I don't agree?"

"Then everything will be gone, no one will survive this." I stood there, thinking everything over. "You don't really have a choice here."

I sighed. "Where do we start?"
