Chapter 5

"Welcome back, guys!" We were greeted as we walked back into the guild.

"And who may you be?" A guy with a girl under each arm asked.

"Lucy. I'm new here."

"Well I'm Loke," my heart stopped for a moment.

"No, it can't be.." I continued staring at him as the others around me congratulated us. Loke gave me a weird look.

"You guys wouldn't believe it, Lucy is actually a celestial wizard!" Natsu said excitedly. Loke froze. I knew it.

"Can I talk to you outside?" He asked, getting up from the girls.

"Yes," I followed him out.

"Oh Loke is going to use his charm magic," Happy did loopy loops above us.

"Watch it cat or I'll kick you into next week," I shooed him away.

"It's been awhile, Lucy," he said once we were outside.

"It has, Leo the Lion," I smiled and gave him a hug. "I've miss you."

"So have I. If you don't mind me asking, what happened to the mistress?" I hugged him tighter.

"You never knew?" I whispered.

"I haven't been in contact with any of the other spirits, it's been years since I've seen any of them. I've been living off my own magic for a while now."

"You and Capricorn were pretty close, Scorpio too." He gasped as I pulled out both of their gate keys. I opened them and they stood before us.

"What can I help you with, Lady Lucy?" Capricorn asked. "Good day, Leo. It's been a while."

"No.. Way," he looked in awe.

"Aries has been waiting for you to return to the celestial world, and the King said you are welcome back. He knows what happened," Scorpio said.

"Aries," he smiled. "Wait, but this doesn't explain what happened to the mistress." Capricorn shot me a look and I nodded.

"She was killed a few years back. That's why you got passed down to someone else."

"W-who killed her??"

"That's why I am here. I found out recently that it was someone in your guild, but I've idolized this place and I don't want to give it all up."

"Who exactly?"

"Someone approaches," Capricorn and Scorpio disappeared.

"You guys are taking too long, what are you doing? Making out?" Natsu walking up and touched my shoulder. I flinched and removed his hand.

"Please don't touch me." I locked eyes with Loke, and he knew instantly. "We will be back in a minute."

Natsu nodded and headed back inside. "It can't be him. Sure, he's strong but he would never do something like that in purpose."

"He wasn't alone, he was with a dragon. They burned the island mom and I were vacationing at. She died right in front of me." I clenched my fists. "I made a promise to mom that I wouldn't let her death go unnoticed, and I've trained everyday since." My voice got really low just in case anyone was around. "I will kill him."

"You shouldn't jump to conclusions, what if he was set up or something was happening behind the scenes?"

"Why are you defending him?"

"Because I've been here for the last few years, I know him. He wouldn't do something like that."

"Then what's the reason for all of this?!"

"I don't know, but I can feel my magic energy quickly draining. I must go, I leave my key with you. You can tell the others if you wish, thank you, Lucy." With that he went back to the celestial world. I looked down at the key, then clipped it into my pouch. I now contained all the zodiac keys, well for the most part. I still need the thirteenth, but I don't need that one right now. I'm even more powerful now with all twelve of the keys.

I sighed and walked back into the hall. I felt a presence behind me, and took a step to the side. Gray missed and skidded into a pillar.

"Nice try, you almost got me there," I said, continuing past him. Natsu was next. He ran and jumped up. He was about to land on me, but I lifted my leg straight up and got him in the gut. He flew on top of Gray, bringing them both to the ground.

"What a show," a red headed girl applauded.

"You must be Erza. I've heard of you, you are really strong. With the power to requip armor and weapons, you rely on your strength to defeat evil," I concluded. She looked taken back for a moment but regained her posture.

"You've done your homework. May I ask, who you are?"

"Lucy Heartfilia."

"Then I've heard of you too, you were the talk of your town when I passed through. Celestial spirit, very nice."

"Good to know all my work didn't go to waste. I know of one more powerful wizard here, but I don't think I've seen him around. He goes by the name Gildarts?"

"Ahh, so you have heard of him. He's been gone on a job request for some time now. We don't know when he will get back, but I'll introduce you as soon as he arrives."

"Thanks. You aren't as scary as people say you are, that's good. I hope we can be good friends."

"I know we will. And I know there's one thing everyone here is dying to see."

I knew she was talking about my magic, but
I wasn't so sure I wanted to show it off yet.

'Princess, you can use us whenever you want. Go for it.' I heard Virgo's voice. 'I guess, if that's what you guys want.'

"Continue."
