Chapter 8

"We should be there soon," I called out to the eleven others. We were flying with the clouds, everyone had their own exceed to carry them except Laxus and not wanting to have what happened the last time I was one, I just transformed so I had wings.

"Are you going to tell us what we are doing?" Gajeel asked, a little annoyed.

"So you all know that I have been learning new types of magic, and Mira showed me how to do full body takeovers. So we are going to go meet demons I can transform into."

"Why did we have to come?" Laxus looked up at me.

"I mean, if you want, I could drop you now and you can walk back."

"Blonde," he said in a strict voice.

"I'm just kidding, you don't have to be so timid around me."

"But I know something they don't know," he whispered loud enough that only I could hear.

"What's that?" I got to the same voice he was at.

"Mira told me, Erza was crushed."

"Oh," good, I thought it was something worse.

"You always pick the wrong people to date, he's going to be just the same as Sting. And why are you dating him anyway? He's the one who sent Natsu on your mom."

"I honestly don't know why myself."

"What does that even mean?"

"If I told you, I would be putting everyone in danger. Can we keep this conversation between us? And," I sighed. "We aren't actually dating but don't tell anyone that. It's best that they hate me."

"If it makes you feel better, I'm starting to hate you too. And I won't tell anyone."

"Thank you." I realized I had begun flying slower than the others and caught up. "There," I leaned down and plummeted towards the ground.

"Whoa, what are you doing?" Laxus yelled.

"I'm going to let go when we are closer to the ground, I can't stop myself so be ready." The clouds cleared and I was getting horrible wind burns. "Now," I took my hands off of him and from what I could see, he landed on his feet. I wasn't so lucky. I threw my arms up over my face as my wings disappeared and I skidded across the dirt.

I laid there for a second, tears at the corners of my eyes. But I sat up, wiping them away and standing. Now is not the time to cry.

"You ok, babe?" Arms wrapped around my waist from behind. I had been facing the slayers who were landing and making their way over, and looked up. Man, I thought he wouldn't try this. His hand went to my bruised cheek, "What happened to your face?" He seemed actually concerned, but not too much like he loved me.

"I crashed and burned, klutz once again." He gave me a warm smile and kissed my forehead. I could feel everyone's hungry eyes.

"I... Uh," Natsu stuttered. "I thought you hated him?"

"I found her a while ago. When I explained myself, she forgave me and we just connected," Jellal smirked at him.

"Jellal," I paused and forced it out," honey?" He hummed. "Can I talk to you?" I lead us a little off and could hear them instantly begin gossiping. "Ok, I understand getting Erza and Laxus mad at me, but I have to live with the other five for the rest of my life. They'll never forgive me if they knew I was just playing them."

"It's just fun to get them riled up. Natsu and I get along, but if I'm never going to see him again, then why not?"

"Urgh! Well, at least bring it back a little."

"Anything for you, babe."

"Idiot," I smacked his forehead. I was beginning to go back to the group when he slipped something onto my belt. I looked down, it was my pouch of keys. I shot him a quizzical glance.

"Zeref wants to make sure that this goes smoothly, and if they bring up your keys, it will be fine." I patted my pouch, glad to have it safely in my possession again. He gave me a thumbs up before joining with the others.

"Ok, let's see how many demons I can meet." Wendy was the only one who seemed happy. Dang it, Jellal why me? I let her jump onto my back and we went around.

At the end of the day, I had met seven demons, which I was really happy about. Mira from what I know only had three. Jellal said they came because they were attracted to my magic energy.

"What a day," I was exhausted. Wendy had fallen asleep on my back and snuggled her head in my neck. "Hey Carla, could you fly Laxus to the guild? I'll get Wendy there safely, I don't want to wake her."

"I guess, but if that child has one scratch on her," she was stern.

"Don't worry. Thank you guys for accompanying me. It was fun catching up." With that, and racers magic, I was at the hall in a mater of seconds. I brought her inside and gave her to Erza. She gently held her on her shoulder.

"How's... Jellal?" There was a hint of jealousy in her voice.

"He's doing ok. I'll tell him you said hi."

She was about to say something, but I took off. I hate this so much. When I got back, the others were gone and Jellal was walking in Zeref's direction. I ran up behind him and scooped him up, still speeding. He had a girly scream, and turned a bright pink when he realized it was me. I came to a halt in front of Zeref.

"That was quick," he said. "What do you have to show me?" Jellal scrambled out of my arms and the two men took a seat.

"I have seven very power demons in my hands. Some of them will actually help us against the dragons. I also learned that the spell is called Satan Soul, so it will be easier to refer to then just 'transformation'."

Zeref gave me a nod, "Show me the seven."

I faced towards the sky, my eyes widening. "Satan Soul: Amaterasu (shining over heaven)!" Light rained down on me as my pupils shrunk and I transformed. My eyes fell on the two men. "Amaterasu, demon of the heavens." I jumped up and got into battle stance. "Falling starts!" Meteors fell from the sky. The attack went to the field a few hundred yards away.

"Is that one supposed to be for Wendy?" Zeref asked as I landed.

"I thought that would work."

I showed off the other six, Homura (flames), Umi (sea), Fuzen (evil, mischief, sin, imperfection), Chi (blood), Mitsuuo (generation of light), and Setsumi (snow beauty).

It felt like my whole body was about to collapse, not only because of all the magic I've been using recently, but also because of my minor injuries.

"Could we be done for today?" I transformed out of Setsumi.

"Yeah, but first I want to know if the slayers are showing any signs."

"Now that you mention it, Natsu barely said anything. The only one who I had an actual conversation with was Laxus."

"This is going too quickly. We haven't even worked on Cobra or Azuma. We are going to have to break them out again. Think you can get them out?"

"No? I could lose my job and could be throw in prison myself. How would we work around that?"

He thought it over for a moment. "Should we try another attack?"

"I don't think that will work. I have an idea though.. Just leave me my keys."
