Chapter 3

*Natsu's POV*

"Ok, bath time," I said as Lucy began collecting the kids empty plates. The four orange faces made a beeline to the bathroom. I followed behind and got the water running. I help each of them out of their clothes and into the bath.

"Hiroaki, you made the water cold," Ichiro complained, starting to shiver.

"It's not my fault," he whined back. I chuckled and started bathing them. Carefully taking them out, I wrapped a hooded towel around their arms.

"That was quick," Lucy walked in, taking two of the hands and bringing them into the bedroom.

"Hiroaki made the water cold," Rei repeated Ichiro.

"I said it wasn't my fault!!" He said, getting embarrassed.

"Calm down guys," Lucy said soothingly, and and grabbed a pair of pajamas for them. We had back up pairs of clothes here just in case of emergency. I walk out with the other two boys and saw that Lucy had put out another pillow for Rei.

After getting them all dressed and teeth brushed, we tucked them into bed and left, turning off the light.

"When all the kids are gone, I want to try again," Lucy whispered, pulling me onto the couch next to her.

"Try what again?" I asked, a little confused.

"I want a child of our own. It's been a year, I think it's time to try again."

"Ok, baby," I kissed her forehead and put her head on my shoulder.

I guess we fell asleep there, because next thing I know it's morning and there's a knock at the door. I yawn and go answer it.

"Good morning, Natsu," Levy greeted me.

"Hey! When did you guys get back?" I asked, stepping aside and letting her in.

"Just a few minutes ago, Gajeel wanted to get back as soon as we could and we traveled all night. He's at home unpacking our stuff."

"Oh, well your boys have been nothing but wonderful." I opened the bedroom door and found everyone still asleep peacefully. The only difference was that Hiroaki slept in our bed by himself. "How did he get up there..." Levy giggled and went to her boys.

"Ichiro, Izumi..." They stirred a little and opened their little eyes.

"Mommy!!" They squealed, jumping up and startling Rei. She started crying and I picked her up.

"I missed you guys."

"Where's daddy?" Izumi looked past her.

"He is waiting for us at home. Let's get you dressed and go meet him." By this point, Hiroaki was awake and crying. I picked him up in my other arm and exited the room.

Lucy woke up to the sound of their crying and came over, taking Hiroaki from my arm. "Cranky babies?"

"They were awoken by the sound of excitement."

"What?"

Levy walked out with her now dressed boys and put them in their strollers. "Thank you guys so much. I know they have a lot of fun here."

"Anytime." She hooked the strollers together and left.

I felt Rei falling back asleep and, trying not to disturb her, put her back on the blanket. "Hopefully she wakes up a little happier.."

"Then we can go drop her off at the guild hall. How are you doing this morning, Hiroaki?" Lucy looked at the boy in her lap.

He had stopped crying and mumbled,"I want momma.."

"She'll be back soon enough. You can have fun with us for now."

I feel bad for the kid, he can't control his magic well yet. The other kids don't like him because he turns everything cold, so he only feels comfortable with his parents.

'Don't worry, when our baby comes you guys will be best friends. I promise you that,' I thought, looking down at him.

"Natsu?" Lucy whispered. I just shook my head and went to get him clothes for the day.
