Date started/stopped: May 5th- May 25th 2016

I walked down a hallway, passing a few Royal Guards.

"Good day, Lucy," they said in unison.

"Good day, gentlemen," I nodded and stopped. "Any good news? Who am I speaking with today?"

"Cobra," I grabbed a folder out of a container that hung on the wall and skimmed over everything. "Where did you find him?"

"He was causing trouble at that guild you used to be a part of it, what is it called?"

"Fairy Tail. Thanks guys," I went between them and through the door. "Good afternoon, Cobra. It's nice seeing you again."

He was sitting at a table, his hands cuffed together in front of him. "Lucy Heartfilia, it's been a while." I took a seat across from him and set the folder down, intertwining my fingers together.

"Can we work something out, so we don't keep meeting like this?"

"Continue."

"You keep escaping to see that chic, right? Kinana?" He hummed in response. "I could see if I can get in contact with Fairy Tail and request Kinana to make a visit? She would be the one to make the final decision but I could try to work something out."

"I'll think about it," he smirked. "So-"

"Lucy, the castle is being invaded," one of the guards slammed the door open.

"Ok," I started getting my papers together. "I'm sorry to cut this chat short, but duty calls," I waved to him and dashed out of the room and back down the hall I came.

The Royal Palace was huge, and it took me three months to get this place down. The entrance was two stories down and the Kings throne is down a hallway from there.

A huddle of guards were found by the giant front doors. Some attempted to attack but they were thrown back. 'Who could it be?' By this point, I knew a good amount of wizards and guilds.

I sped up and leaped over the men's heads, landing gracefully in their circle. "Not again," I sighed. "Fukuro, surrender now or it will be by force." He tried to attack me, but it was useless. I pinned him to the ground and cuffed his hands.

"Take him into custody. I'll question him further from there," I got up and left the crowd.

My life has completely changed since I left Fairy Tail two years ago. A few weeks after I left, this guy named Arcadios contacted me and asked me to work for the kingdom. I'm one of the Wizards in the castle that protects the royal family from danger. I mostly work with the criminals though, and that could range anywhere from patrolling the cells to serving them their meals.

I hadn't stepped foot into the Fairy Tail guild hall since the day Natsu and I went on a job request together. I have seen the guild members, I attend the Grand Magic Games every year, but mostly just to watch the contestants and make sure they are playing fairly.

I've also been working with other guilds such as Lamia Scale and Blue Pegasus. Sadly, I haven't kept in touch with Sabertooth. Of course, I've also seen them at the Grand Magic Games, but I don't speak to them.

"Miss Lucy," Arcadios got in step with me.

"Yes sir?"

"The Princess had requested you in her chambers."

"Sure thing," I walked with him back up four flights of stairs.

He knocked on her bedroom door, and a muffled "Come in," followed. I quietly stepped in, closing the door behind me.

"How can I be at your service, your highness?"

She turned to me from her window. "I've told you, you don't have to be so formal with me, we are like siblings for heavens sake."

"But, you are the princess and a princess deserves to be treated with the most respect."

She waved her hand at me to tell me it was nonsense. "Anyway, I've called you here because I need you to go travel for me."

"Where? And why?"

"The King wants to hold a banquet for some of the guilds around Fiore, and I want you to deliver the invitations."

"Why me? Aren't you afraid of the kingdom being attacked while I am gone?"

"No, we have other wizards who can cover for you. You need a break anyway, this should be an easy task and you can see your old friends."

"If it's what you wish, then I shall meet your request," I bowed.

"Thank you, you are excused." I took my leave and nodded at Arcadios.

'But what if I don't really want to see my old friends?'
