I pulled on a button up shirt, checking myself out in the mirror. Is this 'fancy' enough, but also not too over the top? Ugh I wish I could just go shirt less. But noooo, Lyon says I have to dress nice.

"You ready?" Lyon asked, coming out of the bathroom.

"Ready as I'll ever be. Let's just get this over with," I answered, following him out the door.

Small groups dotted the court yard, mixed with boys and girls. Everyone had a smile on their face, how could they be so happy? It's just some stupid event.

"You should mingle with the people from your classes, make some friends," Lyon leaned over close to my ear.

"Yeah right, like anyone would want to talk to someone like me," I scoffed.

"Hey, Gray!" Cana walked up to us.

"What was that?" Lyon teased. "Don't start anything," he patted my shoulder and left to another group.

"I didn't think I would see you here, you don't seem like the type to attend these things," she smirked.

"I usually don't, but I thought why not? Plus there is someone I'm looking for so I hope I find her. And, where's your friend, Evergreen?"

"I'm not her only friend, she's with her 'gang' the thunder legion. Come on, I want to introduce you to some people." She grabbed my arm and pulled me along behind her, weaving through the crowd. We stopped at a cluster of familiar faces. "Guys, this is Gray."

"We met him earlier," Juvia placed a hand on her hip and Lucy nodded.

"You already know me too," Levy stood along side the other two.

"Oh, well that's good. I guess you haven't met the others.. The guy with black hair is Gajeel, scarlet is Erza, white is Lisanna, and pink is Natsu."

"What's up, man?" The one named Natsu gave me a huge toothy grin.

"Uh, nothing much?" I wasn't really sure what to do here.

"I can already tell we are going to be good friends." Dang this guy is really open..

"Well, are we going to go to the ceremony or not?" Lucy asked, linking arms with Cana. I guess everyone was a follower because they linked arms with someone too. Juvia attached to Lucy, Gajeel had Levy, and Erza forced herself on Natsu. Lisanna gave me a curious look. I shrugged and held my arm out and she put hers through.

"Oooh, what's going on here," someone creepily giggled behind us.

"M-Mira!" Levy and Gajeel stuttered as everyone spun around.

"Hm, Gajeel and Levy are together, bravo.. I don't see Lucy with Natsu that's going to be a problem and- hm? Who are you?" It was a girl with the same face and hair as Lisanna, only longer. Her eyes waited expectantly for me to answer.

"Uh, I'm Gray Fullbuster. I'm assuming you are Lisanna's sister?"

"Mirajane, and yes. I would like it if you removed yourself from her. You two don't look like a good ship."

"Ship? And we aren't doing anything wrong, it's not like I'm doing this for pleasure, would you rather her walk alone and be left out?"

"Gray, you should listen to her," Lisanna detached her self from me and took a step back.

"She can be my 'partner'. And it would be wise if you didn't talk back. Let this be a lesson. Good day, Gray." She smiled as if nothing happened and the group walked away, leaving me in the dust. I hadn't realized that we were the only ones left who hadn't headed to the ceremony until now, I was all alone.

"Idiot!" I yelled at the sky. "You should have just stayed in the stupid dorm, this was such a horrible idea."

'No, it was a good idea. You just don't know these people yet.' It was her voice.

"Of course you would show up now, Ur," I closed my eyes. She obviously wasn't here, but I guess you would call her my imaginary friend.

'Well, yeah. I come when my children need me most.'

"What about when Lyon and I were lost? We didn't belong anywhere. I understand you were probably upset at me, but we were just kids, we could have been killed."

'I was never upset at you, you just hadn't forgiven me for leaving you so soon. How is Lyon doing by the way?'

"He's fine. Since you are here, would you by chance-" my voice caught in my throat as she gasped and fiercely turned around.

'I can't stay long. I'm not supposed to be here.'

"What do you mean, you are my imagination."

'No, I'm a spirit. Get some where safe, if they find you... Just run.'

"There no one here-"

'Run, now Gray!' She vanished at that.

"What the heck just happened?" I shook my head and stalked back to the dorm room.
