Chapter 5

"Gray get up, it's getting late," Lyon woke me up the next morning.

"Mm," I groaned and rolled over in bed.

"Ugh, come on. We aren't going to make it on time." When I didn't move he sighed and took one of my arms around his neck. He pulled me up and onto my feet.

"Noo," I struggled to fall back into my bed.

"Child, please. Don't you want to see what that dragon slayer course is all about?"

I woke up more, steadying myself on my feet,"Right."

"Good." I took a quick ice cold shower and threw on a button up shirt and jeans.

"You know, you could have left with out me," I said as we walked out of the dorms and out into the sunlight.

"Psh, yeah right. What kind of brother would I be if I did that." He playfully punched me in the shoulder. "Also, it probably wouldn't be the best idea to skip the second day.."

"Heh.. Yeah, ok mother."

"Since when?" Cana had approached and got into step with us.

"Aye, how was the banquet as one of Mira's marionettes?" I gave her a sideways smirk.

"Oh, it was ever so dashing, you know, the usual."

"No, I actually don't know the usual but it's chill. Chill, get it?"

"Ew, please don't do that," Lyon face palmed.

"Wait I don't get it, chill?" Cana asked.

"Because we are ice wizards, we use maker magic."

"Oh! Yeah you said that when you were explaining why you were shirtless at lunch. That means you must be the new dragon slayers!"

"Why the hell does everyone think that? No, we aren't dragon slayers, never have been, never will be."

"Are you sure? I mean it's possible to have another set of slayers, we have the twin dragon slayers so.."

"Yes I am sure, we would have known if we were or not."

"I guess if you say so. Well, are you going to show me?"

"Show you what?"

"Your magic, duh. What you think I want to see your shirtless act, Lucy and Juvia are telling everyone about that by the way."

"Hey, if you want to see it I won't judge you. But here," I curled my hand into a fist.

"What are you doing?"

"Give me a second." I opened my hand and revealed an ice figurine of the Fairy Tail emblem, handing it to her.

"Whoa, that's so pretty!" She held it close to her face.

"You should see Lyon's magic, and when we combine powers, I've been told it's fun to watch."

"Psh, and who's told you that," Lyon yawned, covering his mouth.

"Ur did once, I just took her word for it." He opened his mouth to say something, but the bell started ringing.

"Oh dang, I need to go, I'll see you guys later!" He waved and ran towards the Lamia Scale branch.

"See ya," I called and continues walking to the Fairy Tail Branch with Cana.

"Who's your first period?" She asked as we entered through the doors.

"Uh, I'm pretty sure his name is Macao, he seems pretty laid back."

"Lucky, I have Gildarts, and what's worse is he's my dad so it's really awkward when he knows all my friends and everything that goes on. Well for the most part, he doesn't know I have this huge crush on a guy from class Quatro Cerberus."

"Oh?"

"Don't tell him, but his name is Bacchus. He got held back a year but he is supper hot."

"Oh. Nice, nice."

"What about you?"

"What about me?"

"Have you found any attraction towards anyone here?"

"Nope, and I don't want to. I just want to get this day over with so I can sleep."

"Ok, well I need to go catch Evergreen. See you later," she waved and ran off towards a huddle of girls. I spotted Juvia in the group and she waved. I raised my hand back and waved. She giggled, and I have to admit it was a little cute.

Wait what am I thinking, you can't think anything like that, ever. Lyon likes her so you can't fall in love with her under any circumstances, that was not cute, it was just a regular laugh. Yeah. Hurry and walk to your class.

I didn't take the chance to look over any of the other faces and went into my first class, taking my seat. That Erza chic walked in behind me, taking a desk to my side.

"Juvia and Lucy said you were eating with us at lunch?" She questioned.

"Uh I guess so."

"Good, I'll show you the place." She didn't say anything or look at me after that. Weird.
