I threw my book bag down and jumped on my bed. Thank god this place doesn't give homework on the first day, so for the rest of the night I have a date with sleep.

"What's up with you?" Lyon eyed me from his desk. He is my brother, well we aren't related but we've lived under the same roof for years now. Our master, or mom was Ur, but she gave her life for ours. Even though we were both rowdy, she kept us and treated us like her own children. Her only daughter went missing a little while before I arrived there, and since then it's been one of my goals to find her. "Uh, Gray?"

"Mm, sorry I'm just really tired. How was your first day in class Lamia Scale?" I yawned.

"It was weird not having you there, but everyone seems nice enough. So far my favorite teacher is Jura, he's laid back and really powerful. What about you?"

"Uh I guess today was good. I barely talked to anyone and no fighting so yeah it was chill."

He came over and patted my shoulder. "That's really good, I'm glad everything is going ok."

We sat in silence for a minute before I sat up. "Hey, are you going to that opening ceremony tonight?"

"Yeah, its a chance to meet students. Why, are you not going?"

"I'm not sure. I'm leaning more towards no, but I guess I could. If you are there."

He smiled and went back to his desk, his back to me. "I know you are thinking about her."

I chuckled and sighed. "You know me so well. Think we'll finally find her?"

"Maybe, you never know."

"Hey wait, that reminds me. Some chic, Levy came up to me today. You knew her?"

"Levy McGarden? We were friends at one point but then something happened and we never saw each other again."

"What happened?"

"Uhm, well she confessed her feelings to me. This was a little bit after Ur died. I didn't feel the same way and I guess broke her heart. She didn't want anything to do with me after that."

"That's it? Dang girls really know how to make a big deal out of nothing."

"If Ur were still here, she would slap you right now."

"I know." He began humming when someone knocked on the door. "I got it," I stood up. I opened it, revealing two girls, both who I have seen in my classes.

"Good afternoon, I'm Lucy," the blonde haired one greeted.

"And I'm Juvia, welcome to our school," the one with blue hair smiled.

"Gray, who is it?" Lyon joined behind me, his jaw dropped. "Do you know these two?"

"Uh, some what. This is my brother, Lyon. Lyon, this is Lucy and Juvia. Can we help you?"

"Nice to meet you. We are student council representatives from the fairy tail branch. We are supposed to go around and greet all the new students."

"Student council from the fairy tail branch?"

"Yep. Each branch has four representatives in the student council. We are the ones who organize events, I guess kind of like third tier. The Council is the top, next is the Masters, then the student council, and finally the students."

"This place is so complicated," I rubbed my forehead, getting a headache already.

"Don't worry, it all makes sense after a while," Juvia giggled, covering her mouth and batting her eyes.

"I feel like that's a lie, but whatever." Girly tricks don't work on me if you haven't realized, giggle all you want but I'm not buying it.

"Uh, ok," her expression changed just the slightest, it wouldn't have been noticeable if I hadn't been paying attention.

"Well, we are glad to have two new faces here. Enjoy the rest of your day," Lucy quickly finished, pulling Juvia down the hall.

"Wow," Lyon breathed once I closed the door. "What a beauty."

"Oh thank you, I've been trying out this new shampoo," I teased, running my fingers through my hair.

"Not you, idiot," he gagged and began laughing. "I'm talking about Juvia. She was stunning."

"Well, she's like any other girl, fake and trying too hard."

"Ur, where are you when I need you? Teach some sense into this poor child."

"Shut up," I rolled my eyes and jokingly shoved him.
